Product Data Analyst

• Responsible for leading the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to drive product strategy, adoption and execution for the payment gateway. • Create and own data roadmaps to increase product performance transparency for product stakeholders. • Manage data analytics dashboards to track KPIs and deliver clear, actionable insights to product managers. • Monitor data accuracy, and support proactive investigation. • Support ad-hoc reporting framework where product managers can gather and analyze relevant data including customer/CAM surveys, product usage statistics, and market research. • Conduct opportunity sizing analyses, develop forecasting models, and present data-driven insights to influence strategic decision-making. • Collaborate with Engineering and Data Insights to design, build and document an analytics framework for product experimentation, A/B testing and advanced modeling to support long-term product performance. • Analyze large transaction datasets to uncover trends & opportunities across channels and payment methods (card, ACH, P2P). • Help product managers define, track, review, and respond to relevant KPI metrics by establishing monthly, quarterly and yearly cadence of facilitated exploration and analysis. • Respond to performance inquiries from partners, support, engineering, support and product -communicate breakages and help drive resolution. • Monitor transaction data integrity throughout the lifecycle, investigating incidents and anomalies. • Work with product engineering to define how and what data points to collect from products. Partner across value streams to validate accuracy of financial data and drive. • Clearly communicate data-driven findings to stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly and yearly cadence. Establish and inspect quarterly OKR’s to measure efficacy of growth initiatives. • Contribute to data discipline across product by promoting an analytical approach, leveraging data-led experimentation for data-informed execution. • Identify inefficient operational processes and automate to reduce manual requirements. • Partner across teams to ensure financial reporting accuracy. Facilitate ledger and ACH reconciliation by identifying discrepancies, and optimizing settlement processes both internally and with partners. • Stay up-to-date on data science and contribute to the data analytics guild across NMI.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or 3+ years experience in a technical financial services role involving data analysis and interpretation.
  • Passion for data-driven decision making and drive to dig into our data, spot trends & anomalies.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for investigation and identification of issues within complex financial systems.
  • Track record of proactive issue-response and initiative progression including activation across value streams.
  • Strong written communication, verbal communication, and business acumen for effectively collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
  • Independent work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile product environment.
  • Experience documenting SOPs detailing data ingestion, processing, and reporting for constructed frameworks and ancillary tools.
  • Interest in data science and establishing data discipline across product teams.
  • Excellence in conceptual thinking and analytical problem solving.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and Excel/GoogleSheets.
  • Experience building data pipelines (ELT) ...via Fivetran, BigQuery and dbt or similar tooling.

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Lending Data & Analytics team has been working with IT to build the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW): the central system that houses all of Reinvestment Fund's lending data and drives the workflows and reporting behind loan origination, servicing, payments, and regulatory reporting across all of our lending portfolios. This internship offers hands-on experience across the full data stack, from writing SQL and building automated pipelines to designing Power BI dashboards that inform decision-making for portfolio managers, servicing staff, and senior leadership. We are offering an internship opportunity to work directly with lending data, build dashboards and reports, and contribute to projects that support real-world decision-making in a mission-driven organization. Projects are designed to be self-contained and completable within the summer, while contributing meaningfully to systems that remain in production long after. The intern will gain hands-on experience working across a uniquely complex data environment—one that integrates financial loan data with qualitative impact metrics to support the full breadth of RF's reporting needs, while developing a deeper understanding of what it means to work in a mission-driven CDFI environment.
