Role Description Positions are available in our Mission Critical Department which focuses primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission critical facilities. The Electrical Engineer III will have the opportunity to work with and collaborate with senior design staff and further develop their electrical design expertise. This person will work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications and lead the construction administration process. The Electrical Engineer III will receive limited direction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects or assignments. Will execute and assist project leadership on projects of complex scope. Will work independently or under limited supervision. The Electrical Engineer III will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives. Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated Power Systems Engineer to support an innovation initiative focused on substantially accelerating Transmission and Distribution planning tools using NVIDIA GPU technology. This role will be responsible for: - Modeling and converting existing Transmission and Distribution network models currently developed in CYME and GE PSLF into pandapower-based Python models. - Working with NVIDIA resources and performing steady state powerflow analysis for these models using GPUs and CUDA libraries. - Combining strong power systems fundamentals, hands-on experience with planning tools, and programming skills. - Excited to work at the intersection of power engineering and high-performance computing. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred). - Strong foundation in power system analysis, including: - Power flow (AC/DC) - Transmission and Distribution modeling - Per-unit systems and network parameters - Hands-on experience with power system planning tools. - Programming experience.
