Summary Chenega is seeking to hire an experienced Program Analyst IV to work within the CDC Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP) to provide management and operational support. Work Location: - Remote eligibility Responsibilities - Coordinate activities and documents to execute contracts and grants management services, including analyzing and summarizing annual reports from grantees. - Perform complex management and administrative duties requiring attention to detail and analysis, including strategic planning and financial analysis and preparing specialized program and project budgets and reports (e.g., technical reviews, carryover requests, contract modifications) to support operational needs. - Maintain records that provide for the proper evaluation, control and documentation of assigned activities; prepare a variety of written correspondence, reports and other materials. - Monitor operations of the program to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished efficiently and effectively; take corrective action. - Perform strategic planning and financial analysis, including preparation of project budgets to include operational needs. - Prioritize and allocate available program resources by reviewing and evaluating program and service delivery. Make recommendations for and execute changes in operations to ensure maximum effective service provision. Develop new program function elements, including researching, compiling and analyzing supporting data. - Attend CDC approved trainings required to learn new government systems to complete required tasks. - Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) - Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; - Candidate must have extremely strong communication and presentation skills. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, prioritization skills, ability to recognize client needs, exceptional organizational and collaboration skills, capable of taking direction and being adaptable to change, exceptional customer service orientation, attention to details and deadlines ensuring effective task management, be comfortable public speakers who can provide presentations and reports on their findings, and work well as part of a team. Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding. Role Description The Department of Community Health is seeking a qualified Program Operations Specialist for the Primary Care Office and Farmworker Health Program section within the State Office of Rural Health. Under general supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in functional area.
