Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in any field
- 5+ years in Sales Enablement, Product Marketing, or GTM strategy roles (required)
- Experience building sales content, playbooks, and messaging frameworks (required)
- Experience with content management platforms (Highspot, Seismic, etc.) (required)
- Experience in complex B2B environments supporting Enterprise and Strategic sellers (preferred)
- Familiarity with sales methodologies (Challenger, MEDDICC, Value Selling) (preferred)

The Role Lumen is seeking a savvy and execution-oriented Lead Content Manager to create digital storytelling that advances the company’s brand, reputation, and business priorities. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Social Media, the ideal candidate operates at the intersection of digital and earned media – leaning into social storytelling while partnering with Media Relations to amplify coverage, support proactive pitching, and strengthen Lumen’s reputation. The Main Responsibilities - Create high-performing content across platforms (LinkedIn, X, video, blogs, visual storytelling) tailored to executive and corporate channels. - Develop executive social playbooks and toolkits to amplify leadership voice and thought leadership. - Ensure content reflects Lumen’s strategy, values, and transformation narrative. - Partner with the Media Relations team to amplify earned coverage across digital channels. - When needed, contribute to enterprise media relations efforts—supporting storytelling, drafting materials, and elevating Lumen’s brand in key outlets. - Ensure digital and earned media strategies are integrated and mutually reinforcing. - Analyze metrics and progress and fine-tune plan along the way What We Look For in a Candidate - At least 5+ years of relevant experience in Digital Content Creation, Social Media, Media Relations or Corporate Communications - Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Digital Communications, Communications, Public Relations - Proven results in developing social media messaging and analytics - Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics. - Experience using analytics tools, social listening platforms, and PR/digital performance reporting. - Proven ability to work and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Collaborative mindset with strong cross-functional partnership skills. Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. • Lead and own content strategies for product launches, campaigns, market education, and other initiatives • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to identify messaging gaps and content opportunities • Define content types, channels, and formats needed across customer journeys • Help Account Service shape creative briefs that are insight-driven, audience-specific, and goal-oriented • Own content calendars and lifecycle plans, including evergreen and content repurposing • Manage corporate brand-level content efforts including thought leadership, industry celebrations, and storytelling • Serve as the content subject matter expert, providing clear guidance on content purpose, priorities, and planning • Establish content frameworks and messaging architecture that ensure consistency across regions, products, and channels • Partner with Analytics and Commercial teams to define KPIs, measure content performance, and optimize strategy based on insights • Influence and align senior stakeholders around content priorities, trade-offs, and investment decisions
