Role DescriptionThe Dash Experiences organization at Dropbox is responsible for shaping core user experiences across web, mobile, desktop, and emerging AI-powered surfaces. We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Dash Experiences team and help build new, AI-first product experiences. In this role, you will work on application design, development, and maintenance of AI-powered software applications within the Dropbox Dash product ecosystem. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including product managers, data scientists, and ML engineers to build robust, scalable solutions that power user-facing experiences. This is a 0→1 product environment, where you’ll contribute across the stack—from building frontend experiences in React to developing APIs and connecting backend systems. Responsibilities - Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for AI-powered software applications. - Work closely with ML engineers to integrate AI components seamlessly into the overall software product architecture. - Develop responsive and performant frontend applications using modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Typescript, and frameworks like React. - Implement interactive user interfaces that effectively communicate complex AI functionalities and data insights to end-users. - Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless integration of design elements, branding, and usability principles into the frontend development process. - Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and APIs, ensuring optimal performance and data flow. - Optimize frontend performance to deliver fast and efficient user experiences, considering factors such as page load times, rendering speed, and responsiveness. - Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in frontend development, UI/UX design, and AI technologies, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to the team. - Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture. Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core and non-core business hours. For example, the lab testing dashboard allows customers to self serve and order lab tests for their patients. - Speaking with customers: for this role, we need you to be customer obsessed, asking thought-provoking questions and digging into product usage - Owning full-stack features: You’ll design and build new functionality end-to-end across frontend and backend. - Tackling ambitious problems: you’ll be breaking down technical challenges that haven’t been done before in healthcare, we need you to be extremely product minded with every line of code you write - Iterating quickly: ship, learn from real usage, and refine to make the experience better each time.
