Sales Director
ScotchFrom neighborhood stores to destination warehouses, liquor retailers of all sizes have been held back by manual tasks, slow systems and limited business intelligence. So we decided to build something better — smarter software that saves time and improves margins so independent retailers could focus on their customers, not manually managing inventory.
🥃 Scotch’s mission is to modernize one of the oldest industries on earth: the $1.6T beverage alcohol market. We’re starting by building the next-generation operating system for BevAlc retailers (POS, payments, Back Office, E-commerce). Recognized by Forbes, Scotch is leading the tech revolution for the liquor store industry. Our founding team is comprised of the exec team from Skupos (a c-store software company that was acquired for 9-figures in 2023), Drizly (acquired by Uber), and engineers from other top technology companies. We’ve raised $28MM to build and scale Scotch from tier-one VC’s like VMG, First Round, Lerer Hippeau, Watchfire Ventures and Toba Capital, as well as strategic angels like the founder of Drizly, founding executives of Toast, and others. 👀 Why we’re hereWe are seeking a Sales Director to help liquor stores throughout the country modernize their operations with Scotch. 🔧 What you'll be doingWe’re a small, nimble team. We all wear multiple hats but the core responsibilities of this role include… - Selling the Scotch POS and operating system to liquor stores across the US. - The Scotch operating system includes hardware, software, payment processing, and E-commerce. It’s a Ferrari for drivers who have been stuck in horse and buggies for the last 20+ years - Our buyer is a small business owner - you will be the expert in technology, simplifying how to save them time and grow their profit - You’ll be calling stores five days a week with a mix of inbound and cold calling. - We’re customer obsessed - we have an onboarding and support team, but you will need to step in from time to time on deals you've closed. 🤝 What we valueCompany building is a team sport, and we aim to to win the World Championships. We’re looking for heat-seeking missiles that aspire to be the absolute best in their field, to constantly raise the bar amongst their peers, and to win. We’re a low-ego, high-outcome focused crew with a strict no asshole policy. We hold a high bar. This is a performance culture - we expect effort and outcomes. With that pressure comes compensation and growth opportunities as part of a winning team. 🫵 Who we’re looking forHigh energy individuals, hyper motivated to grow their career and revolutionize retail liquor. We sell technology, and we use it - it’s important to be excited about modern sales enablement tools. Sales experience in SMB technology or the Bev Alc Industry is required.
