Job Description
Business Lead, Frame
CoinTracker
Overview Elite financial planning doesn't scale. The best advisors serve ~50-100 households. We're fixing that by turning financial logic into code. At Frame, we're building an AI-powered financial office that delivers top-1% tax and financial planning to millions of Americans. We've launched with paying customers, a small high-trust team, and strong backing from CoinTracker ($100M raised, Accel/YC). We're looking for a Business Lead to co-lead Frame alongside our Technical & Product Lead. You'll own the business side: growth, marketing, partnerships, client experience, CPA/CFP team operations, compliance, and hiring. Your co-lead owns product and engineering. You report directly to the CEO. This isn't a "business person who sits in meetings." You'll write the first blog post. You'll run the first partnership call. You'll onboard customers yourself. You'll hire the team that does all of this at scale. Your mission Enable world-class financial and tax planning for everyone Your one-year outcomes - 400 paying customers with NPS 70+ and strong organic word-of-mouth growth - Repeatable customer acquisition motion generating 20+ qualified leads/month - CPA/CFP team of 3-5 delivering consistent 5-star service with AI augmentation - Category awareness: Frame is known as the AI-native alternative to traditional financial planning What you will do - Growth: Own customer acquisition. Build and iterate on growth motions: content, community, social, outbound, partnerships. Own pricing and packaging alongside your co-lead - Client experience: Own NPS, retention, and support quality. Design onboarding. Ensure every customer gets a world-class experience - Team: Manage the CPA/CFP team (currently 2, growing to 3-5). Hire future planners, GTM, marketing, and customer service roles - Operations: Build systems for service delivery: client onboarding, tax filing workflows, planning cadence. Make it consistent and scalable - Brand & content: Build Frame's voice. Create content that builds credibility and drives demand - Partnerships: Identify and execute partnerships that drive customer acquisition - Compliance: Own regulatory compliance for financial planning and tax services - Business metrics: Co-own the Frame P&L with your co-lead. Set goals, track metrics, report to the CEO What we look for Role-agnostic - Impact: Demonstrated ability to drive outsized business impact - Mission alignment: Hungry and motivated about giving everyone access to world-class financial planning through AI - Trust: Say what you believe. Do what you say - Communication: Able to clearly talk about the details and also zoom out to the bigger picture Role-specific - Has built or scaled a customer-facing business as a founder or early operator - Has managed a cross-functional team (operations, service, growth) - Has owned a growth or revenue number and moved it - AI-native: uses AI daily and understands how it changes service delivery economics - Strong written and verbal communicator (you'll be the voice of the brand) - Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and wearing every hat This role is not a fit if - You need a team before you can produce output - You prefer process and alignment over speed and ownership - You think managing CPAs and CFPs is "below" a business lead - You prefer to own strategy vs. rolling up your sleeves and executing yourself The team You'll work directly with: - Jon Lerner (Co-Founder & CEO, your manager) - Kenan Mesic (Technical & Product Lead, your co-lead) - Levi Larsen (Financial Planner, your direct report) - Tax Lead, CPA (hiring, your direct report) Why join Frame now? - Ownership: co-lead an entire business. Growth, marketing, partnerships, client experience, P&L - Upside: meaningful equity at the ground floor, backed by $100M+ in venture funding from Accel, Y Combinator, Intuit Ventures - Impact: build the category-defining AI financial planner - Team: small, high-trust, high-autonomy. No bureaucracy
