Systems Engineer I Summary of Position: The Systems Engineer I works as a member of the Cloud Infrastructure team within Technical Operations. This role is tasked with keeping the existing infrastructure stable while helping to create an automated monitoring systems and administration tools. Duties & Responsibilities: - Provide daily IT Operations Support - Maintain existing network infrastructure and support data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical systems and data - Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, applying patches and updates as required - Working knowledge of server support; Physical and Virtual as well as different type of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) - Ability to automate server and service provisioning and other tasks - Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including server configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures - Share knowledge and collaborate with team members to enhance overall system administration capabilities - Respond to system-related incidents and service requests, providing timely resolutions and support to end-users - Participate in an on-call rotation to address urgent issues outside regular business hours. - Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure - Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability - Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with departments to implement those fixes - Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks - Live by the standards set by the Verisma Core Values and ensure that business is transacted accurately and with the highest ethical standards Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year degree or relevant experience required - 1-2 years of experience in system infrastructure - Healthcare industry experience preferred - Proficiency in Windows Servers, Active Directory, cloud management, monitoring, and PowerShell scripting - Knowledge of systems, networking software/hardware, and networking protocols - Experience with virtualization, containerization, and monitoring systems with current tools - Strong problem-solving aptitude and resourcefulness - Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work collaboratively across departments - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proven ability to deliver results - Commitment to building stable, reliable, and high-performing systems that streamline workflow
