Position Summary The Ultra Maritime Commercial function is responsible for negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise in the management of contracts made with customers, vendors, partners or employees. The Sr Contracts Specialist role will perform important oversight functions to ensure adherence with internal and Government procedures on contract management and administration, bid management and approval, and acts as the conduit between the sales and technical teams and other Group functions including Finance and Legal.Job Description - Reviews and approves all contractual documents for protection of company's contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy. - Advises leadership of contractual rights and obligations and also provides interpretation of terms and conditions. - Knowledge and application of knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other Government acquisition regulations. - Prepare, review, and edit contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and relevant laws. - Lead the negotiation and execution of contract amendments or extensions when necessary. - Lead and manage contract life cycle, including kick-off and close activities. - Monitor and enforce contract compliance throughout the contract's lifecycle, including tracking key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines. - Maintain an organized and up-to-date contract repository, including version control, renewal dates, and related documentation. - Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and propose mitigation strategies to protect the organization's interests. - Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. - Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact contracts and ensure all contracts comply with relevant legal requirements. - Generate reports and provide contract-related data and insights to management and other stakeholders as needed. This position will play a critical role in ensuring compliance and timely approval across payors and regulatory bodies by handling new provider credentialing, recredentialing, payor enrollments, and credentialing for new practices and locations. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple priorities, meeting strict deadlines, and collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Procurement, Operations, and Revenue Cycle Management. Key Responsibilities Provider & Practice Credentialing - Manage initial credentialing for new providers across all specialties. - Oversee provider credentialing when expanding to new locations or practices. - Coordinate recredentialing efforts to ensure compliance with payor and regulatory timelines. - Process credentialing related to tax ID changes, name changes, or other organizational modifications. Role Description The Specialist, while working remotely (from home), will ensure the quality of services to clients, coordinate day-to-day operations of the program, and recommend and implement changes that would improve the delivery of services. The Vendor Management Specialist manages the relationship for all business services being performed by external vendors as related to credentialing. Management of these vendors include but are not limited to: responding to internal inquiries regarding business needs related to the credentialing verification organization (CVO); keeping internal stakeholders informed of credentialing decisions and issues found within the primary source verification (PSV) process as completed by the CVO; oversight of delegated vendor/entity audits as completed by the CVO; monthly monitoring of provider network; Credentialing Committee preparations including but not limited to agenda, provider summaries, reporting, etc. Routine Tasks Daily review of incoming credentialing cases across PITS and UPE, identify delegated providers and update case notes as needed, import new non-delegated initial providers into CVO, and assign cases to designated credentialing staff. Provide feedback and communicate issues to CVO as identified when using the platform and by the credentialing staff. Log and track CVO support tickets as needed. Coordinate bi-weekly Medical Director ad-hoc emails for approval of clean individual providers and vendor/facilities, adding these decisions into the designated spreadsheet, notifying stakeholders, and updating all approval statuses within the CVO platform. Identify provider network changes and current credentialing status to import into CVO with the appropriate designation (delegated or non-delegated). Create internal data requests with business analysts as needed to retrieve all required information for importing providers into CVO platform. Communicate identified data issues to internal stakeholders for root cause analysis and resolution. Weekly monitoring of Healthfirst network with actions or sanctions and exclusions identified by internal reporting and CVO reporting, notifying internal stakeholders as received; update internal tracker used for monthly reporting to the NYSDOH. Attend weekly meetings with CVO to discuss issues identified and recommend solutions. Attend monthly meetings with CVO to discuss current states of delegated vendor audits. Coordinate bi-monthly Credentialing Committee and create/edit summaries for providers identified as having actions or sanctions meeting our Leveling Criteria for committee review. Review and process telehealth applications for bi-weekly ad-hoc Medical Director email approval, entering approvals into PLM for directory purposes. Prepare quarterly QIC and DVO presentations with CVO updates for committee meetings. Monitor and follow up on CVO CAP deliverables as applicable and provide updates to Compliance. De-roster CAQH providers quarterly to prevent recurring charges. (due April 2026) Oversee annual audits of four delegated vendors with CVO and Healthfirst DVO team of CVO/Healthfirst delegated vendor overlap. Assist with special projects and other duties based on business need Attend ad-hoc meetings as needed.
