SUMMARY We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Technical Writer who can produce clear, accurate, and well‑structured documentation in English for technical audiences. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES - Write, edit, and maintain technical documentation in English, including manuals, user guides, procedures, and reference materials - Collect and interpret engineering documents, product specifications, and marketing analyses and work with development teams. - Write original copy in a clear, coherent, well-organized manner, using graphics, technical vocabulary and concepts that are appropriate to the product and familiar to the customer. - Adhere to department standards and writing guidelines, including Simplified Technical English. - Work with translation vendors to localize and translate manuals, reference guides, on-line help, and display screens for international markets. - Coordinate with editor and illustrators to resolve problems with technical content, organization, writing, and publication. - Coordinate day-to-day activities to develop assigned user documentation. - Establish schedules to meet required deadlines. JOB COMPLEXITY: - Work independently under moderate supervision. - Conform to established practices and procedures. - Errors can adversely affect customers and image and can cause shipment delays which impacts company financials. The Technical Applications Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a team of Field Technical Applications Specialist to ensure that customer needs and expectations are met in a timely manner. The role will oversee the installation of all instruments, training of operators in the use of Beckman Coulter diagnostic equipment and providing ongoing support to customers. Meet the Team Acacia (part of Cisco) is a market leader in high-speed coherent optical transceivers, pioneering the development of coherent pluggable transceivers. Acacia’s coherent products are deployed by all hyperscalers to connect their Data Centers over distances from a few kilometers to thousands of kilometers and even in submarine networks. The emergence of AI has drastically increased the demand for Acacia’s coherent transceivers. Acacia’s coherent transceivers are also being used in space applications and are expected to be used inside data centers as interconnect speeds continue to increase. Acacia is also entering the PAM4 Client market and is expected to be a key provider of PAM4 solutions, including a 1.6T PAM4 DSP. The Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) team is a dynamic group that develops advanced photonics chips for optical communications products. Your Impact In this role, you will work very closely with the entire PIC team covering a wide variety of directions, including silicon photonics and III-V device designs, simulation, foundry process development, production tapeout, PIC testing, and production support. You will be responsible for the design, simulation, layout and testing of photonic components and circuits. You will also work closely with millimeter wave design team, packaging team, and module hardware / software / optics testing team in building complete products.
