About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing data platform team. In this role, you’ll architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems that power advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization. What You’ll Do - Design and implement cloud-native backend services for large-scale data processing and analytics - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to turn complex business needs into elegant technical solutions - Build and optimize **data models** and pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability - Drive **cost-efficient** and **secure** use of cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) What We’re Looking For (Must have) - 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer, ideally in data-intensive environments - Strong proficiency in Python (preferred), with additional experience in Java or Scala a plus - Deep experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP, and its data ecosystem (e.g., ECS, Fargate, S3, Redshift, Lambda) - Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) - Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) - Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor others Nice to Have - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Experience working with streaming data, event-driven architectures, or real-time analytics - Hands-on experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Dask, Spark, Hadoop) - Exposure to machine learning workflows, data science tools, or BI platforms - Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs
