Cloud Infrastructure & Network Operations Engineer (m/f/d) Location: Germany (Security Clearance SÜ2 required) Assignment: Dedicated customer (out of home office within Germany) We are looking for experienced Service Engineers (m/f/d) to join the operations team for a highly standardized and automated cloud network platform. Our mission is to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operation of a business-critical infrastructure with the highest standards for availability and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Incident Management: Analyze, document, and resolve operational incidents (20% of working time), including escalation and coordination within the team. - Change Management: Plan, assess impact, coordinate, and implement changes. - Operations: Guarantee smooth platform operation and drive continuous improvement. - Automation & Innovation: Contribute to automation and self-service solutions (e.g., DevOps tools, Python scripting). - Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues on task planning, shift schedules, and on-call rotations. General Qualifications: - Several years of experience operating and administering cloud and network architectures (e.g., data centers, enterprise environments). - Strong skills in automation and DevOps (e.g., Python, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code). - Analytical mindset, self-driven work style, and excellent problem-solving abilities. - Proven ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly. - Familiarity with common office and collaboration tools. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. About Proximity Foundation Proximity Foundation runs structured coding education programs for young people aged 14-18 at Community Care Institutions (CCIs). Using a computer-based LMS curriculum covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, we pair students with volunteer mentors in cohort-based sessions designed to build real technical skills and lasting confidence. We are scaling from the first cohort to many cohorts within Mumbai and building the operational team that will carry this program forward. Every role in Proximity Foundation is a direct investment in the young people we serve. Role Type : Volunteer — On-Call / Flexible Time Commitment : 2-3 hrs/week (for 1 hr on weekday - one day a week only) and one hour on weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) Department : Program Delivery (On-Call) Reports to : Program Coordinator Lead ROLE FOCUS Step in to cover sessions when active mentors are unavailable. You'll build familiarity with the LMS curriculum and student cohorts so you can jump in confidently on short notice — and scale into a full mentor role as the program grows. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Step in as session facilitator when a primary mentor is unavailable - Build familiarity with the LMS curriculum to cover sessions confidently - Stay briefed on session plans and student progress for assigned cohorts - Attend orientation and occasional training sessions - Maintain close communication with Program Coordinator - Scale into an active mentor role as the program and cohorts grow WHAT A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS LIKE Most weeks are quiet — you're on standby. When called in, you'll have a session plan ready and a quick briefing from the Program Coordinator. The expectation is responsiveness and readiness, not constant availability.
