• Own the AEO strategy for Docusign globally, defining how we show up in LLMs and other AI-powered search experiences • Build frameworks for which queries, intents, and experiences we prioritize for AEO and related answer-engine surfaces • Partner with Content, Product Marketing, and PLG Product to define content, schema, and UX patterns that increase visibility, reliability, and quality of our presence in AI-driven results • Design and maintain a measurement framework for AEO (e.g., visibility, citations, traffic, share of voice, intent coverage, and downstream conversion where available) • Track ecosystem changes (search engine guidance, AEO rollouts, AI ranking changes) and turn them into clear recommendations for the Global SEO roadmap • Run experiments to understand which signals (content structure, schema, authority, UX) most influence our AEO presence and outcomes • Execute comprehensive technical SEO site audits to identify and prioritize issues that impact crawlability, indexability, site architecture, internationalization, and Core Web Vitals • Partner with Engineering, WebOps, and Platform teams to future-proof the tech stack for SEO and AEO, including automation where possible (e.g., sitemaps, canonical tags, hreflang, redirects, and guardrails in CMS/templates) • Diagnose crawling, rendering, and indexing issues (e.g., JavaScript rendering, canonicalization, robots directives, hreflang, structured data) and provide clear, data-backed recommendations • Maintain and refine international SEO foundations, ensuring correct language/region targeting, hreflang implementation, and localized sitemaps across priority markets • Collaborate with Web and Product to embed SEO and AEO requirements early in discovery, design, and implementation, not just at launch QA • Own SEO and AEO performance analytics for Global SEO: define KPIs, build and iterate dashboards, and partner with Analytics/Data to connect channel performance to PLG metrics (e.g., sign-ups, product activation, revenue proxy metrics) • Lead regular performance reviews across markets, surfaces, and product experiences, highlighting drivers, risks, and opportunities with clear storytelling • Design and run experiments (A/B tests, multivariate tests, holdouts) in partnership with PLG Product and Web to quantify the impact of technical and content changes • Evaluate and communicate the incrementality and ROI of SEO/AEO initiatives to inform investment, headcount, and roadmap decisions • Partner with Analytics to improve data quality and attribution for SEO and AEO, including tagging strategy, event design, and integration with BI/PLG analytics tools • Translate complex technical and AI-search concepts into simple, actionable narratives for non-technical stakeholders • Represent Global SEO and PLG in relevant working groups (e.g., growth squads, AI/ML initiatives, analytics and attribution programs) • Build strong, trust-based relationships with Engineering, WebOps, Product, Marketing, and regional teams to ensure alignment on priorities and trade-offs • Create and maintain documentation, playbooks, and standards for technical SEO, AEO, and SEO QA processes • Informally mentor teammates and partners, raising the overall SEO and AEO literacy of the PLG and Marketing organizations

Role Description We’re looking for a Mid-level SEO Specialist with strong Shopify experience who wants ownership, clear impact and a long-term place in a small, high-performing team. In this role you will: - Own the day-to-day SEO performance for a portfolio of Shopify e-commerce clients (mid 6–8 figures revenue). - Run technical and on-page audits (crawlability, indexation, internal linking, site speed, schema, Core Web Vitals), and turn findings into clear, prioritized action plans. - Plan and execute keyword & topic research focused on profit, not just traffic: product/collection pages, blog pillars, clusters and FAQs. - Create detailed SEO implementation briefs for developers, designers and content writers (e.g. new templates, collection structures, internal linking, content outlines). - Optimize Shopify stores end-to-end: collections, products, blogs, navigation, filters, metafields, URL structure and on-page copy. - Monitor performance in GA4, Google Search Console and tools like Ahrefs/SEMrush; report on rankings, revenue, and key SEO KPIs. - Communicate clearly with clients in async channels (Slack/WhatsApp/Email) and occasional calls – explaining complex SEO in simple, honest language. - Spot opportunities for CRO and funnel improvements together with our strategists (e.g. better internal linking, intent-matched content, improved category layouts). - Contribute to our internal SOPs, “SEO Brain” and frameworks so every client benefits from what we learn. - Stay up to date with Google updates, AI/LLM developments, and e-commerce best practices – and translate them into practical actions for our clients. Qualifications - 2–4+ years hands-on SEO experience, ideally at an agency or in-house for e-commerce brands. - Proven results growing organic revenue for online stores (case studies or examples ready to discuss). - Strong Shopify experience: you understand how collections, products, blogs, navigation, filters, apps and basic theme/liquid changes affect SEO. - Solid technical SEO skills (sitemaps, robots, internal linking, CWV, structured data, hreflang/canonical basics). - Confident with GA4, Google Search Console, and at least one major SEO suite (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, etc.). - Comfortable writing or editing SEO-friendly copy (titles, meta descriptions, H1s, FAQ, outlines for writers). - Good understanding of e-commerce metrics: CVR, AOV, LTV, ROAS, revenue attribution. Requirements - You care more about profit and business impact than just rankings or traffic curves. - You’re transparent and honest – you’d rather tell a client an uncomfortable truth than hide behind “SEO takes time.” - You like taking ownership: you manage your clients, deadlines and priorities without needing micro-management. - You enjoy working in a small, expert team with direct feedback, clear standards and room to contribute ideas. - Strong written and spoken English; Dutch is a plus but not required. Benefits - Real impact: you’ll work directly on brands where SEO can move the needle on 6–8 figure revenues – not tiny side projects. - Deep e-commerce focus: you’ll sharpen your skills specifically on Shopify and DTC, not random local SEO clients. - Learning & growth: direct access to experienced e-commerce/SEO operators, internal frameworks and documentation, plus budget for courses, tools and experiments. - Culture of integrity: no black-hat tricks, no fake reporting. We’re obsessed with doing what’s right for the client and being radically transparent. - Competitive salary based on experience, plus performance-based bonuses tied to client results.
