• Systematically designing, developing & deploying new products • Taking strong ownership of the product and improving it based on customer feedback and product analytics • Improving our culture and engineering/product practices • Helping with future hiring, onboarding and growing the company • Develop in (and learn) Clojure(script) (a strong functional programming language) and Python which has some of the best tooling for iterative (repl based) development • Question the status quo about the current practices and systematically reason about why is it currently that way and what can be improved upon

• Perform system analysis, assess risk, provide time estimations, and develop technical design and implementation strategies. • Write code and unit tests for Natera’s custom Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and other software components. • Conduct code reviews and collaborate closely with developers, quality engineers, and product managers across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure quality. • Debug and perform root cause analysis for product defects and issues, as well as production support. • Partner with product owners and users to define requirements, transforming them into reliable, extensible, and operations-friendly features. • Create and maintain comprehensive software specifications based on defined requirements. • Complete all required HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training within the first 30 days of hire and maintain current status on all Natera training requirements.

• Assist in developing and implementing small features, enhancements, or bug fixes with guidance from experienced engineers. • Contribute to codebases using modern programming languages and development frameworks. • Write basic unit tests and help validate functionality of new features. • Learn and follow team coding standards, development workflows, and documentation practices. • Participate in debugging and troubleshooting issues with support from your team. • Participate in Agile team ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA partners to understand requirements and deliver solutions. • Ask questions and seek guidance to better understand systems, tools, and engineering practices. • Contribute ideas and feedback during team discussions. • Build foundational skills in software development, debugging, testing, and system design. • Gain exposure to modern engineering tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms. • Learn about large-scale systems and how software supports real business products. • Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing opportunities.

• Develop and maintain high-impact applications for AccuWeather’s Developer Platform using React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies. • Build intuitive and responsive UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks. • Translate complex product and business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and well-architected front-end solutions. • Integrate frontend applications with commerce platforms, APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services • Work with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications to deliver a first-class developer experience. • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive, end-to-end platform features. • Contribute to and support backend services and integrations that power portal functionality, API access, and personalization. • Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability across the full stack, from front-end rendering to API documentation delivery. • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions, helping evolve platform standards and best practices. • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, with a strong focus on long-term sustainability. • Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence.
