Government Travel Consultant

• Secure air, car and hotel accommodations for contracted government agencies. • Ensure that all aspects of booked travel (domestic and international) adhere to all government travel regulations, and validate that a high quality of accommodation and transportation is secured. • Ensure all queues are maintained throughout the day. • Initiate cancellation or reservation change processes to their completion, where applicable, to include expedient client agency notification. • Provide updates, as necessary, to client agencies to ensure their full awareness of information and status relating to the pending travel. • Conduct routine research of travel industry changes, trends and offerings to ensure they are working with the most up-to-date information when advising client agencies. • Maintain a professional customer service attitude and demeanor at all times while providing quality service, timely and accurate completion of travel arrangements and recommending value-added services to the client agency. • Weekend work is required in this role

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, with some post-high school education
  • Travel industry experience
  • Proactive approach to systems and processes.
  • Working knowledge of WorldSpan and SABRE GDS
