About You You are a detail-oriented and proactive operations professional with a strong background in procurement, order management, and vendor coordination. You’ll report to the OSM Lead with a high degree of day-to-day ownership: we trust you to manage your workflows, prioritize what matters, and deliver results independently. You’ll collaborate closely with Firstbase’s Ops, Customer Success, CX, Product, and Sales teams to ensure seamless execution across the order lifecycle. You’re comfortable working with tools like JIRA, Slack, and Retool, and you’re always looking for ways to improve processes and drive efficiency. With 2+ years of experience in operations, procurement, or supply chain management, you understand the importance of meeting service level objectives and you’re energized by proactively flagging risks before they become problems. What You'll Do and How You'll Have an Impact - Manage all aspects of daily order processing to vendors, including preparing and sending order information to partners, troubleshooting issues, following up on lead times, updating internal systems, and keeping the Firstbase platform up to date with accurate order and inventory information to ensure on-time delivery for our customers. - Resolve order exceptions swiftly by collaborating with internal and external teams—whether that means communicating End of Life (EOL) product updates with potential alternatives, or monitoring in-transit issues and taking action to mitigate delivery delays. - Ensure all orders meet our Service Level Objectives (SLOs) by proactively monitoring metrics, identifying areas of risk, and raising concerns to leadership before they impact delivery performance. - Work closely with cross-functional teams including Ops, Customer Success, CX, Product, and Sales—through daily huddles, war rooms, and ad hoc meetings—coming prepared to report out on order status and contribute to team problem-solving. - Drive process improvement and documentation by identifying operational inefficiencies, ensuring changes are documented, and surfacing new tool requests or functionality needs for team prioritization. - Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your function, building deep knowledge of vendor workflows, order systems, and category-specific processes to serve as a go-to resource for the team. What We're Looking For - 2+ years of experience in operations, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. - Hands-on experience placing orders, managing lead times, and coordinating with vendors, OEMs, distributors, or resellers. - Proficiency with operational tools such as JIRA, Slack, and Retool (or similar platforms). - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on process efficiency and problem-solving. - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field (preferred). - Clear written and verbal communication skills, needed to align internal stakeholders and external vendor partners across a fully remote, global team. - Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach, essential for juggling multiple priorities, responding to shifting order demands, and resolving recurring issues before they reach customers. • You will work directly with different business areas on renewals, new application purchases, vendor management and integrating contracts from acquired companies. Support day-to-day operational process within tracking applications, documenting use cases and features, highlighting overlap while building a concrete view of the current application use landscape. Track expenses and work with teams on reducing overspending by eliminating unused licenses, uncovering Shadow IT and offering alternative solutions. You will work closely with IT operations, legal, privacy and security teams • IT Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with IT leaders to understand their needs and priorities and ensure vendor services meet these requirements • Contract Negotiations: Participate as needed in contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships and application gaps by tracking, upkeeping, and recommending changes to Veeva’s Supplier Management application. The Role At Edged, we are scaling at an unprecedented pace. We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead the commercial strategy and lifecycle management for our most critical infrastructure categories (Power, Cooling, and Modular Solutions). You will be the primary architect of our category strategies, responsible for navigating a volatile global market to secure capacity and drive industry-leading value. This is a senior-level individual contributor role that requires a blend of technical curiosity, advanced negotiation skills, and the ability to influence executive stakeholders both internally and externally. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for high-spend categories. You won't just buy equipment; you will define how we buy, identifying opportunities for global frame agreements and volume leverage. - Serve as the lead for our most strategic partnerships. You will manage executive-level relationships, lead QBRs, and drive continuous improvement in quality, sustainability, and cost. - Lead complex, contract negotiations. You are responsible for the full commercial lifecycle from RFP drafting and bid leveling to final MSA execution and risk mitigation. - Identify and vet "second-source" opportunities to de-risk our pipeline. Experience: - 6–10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Global Supply Management, or Category Management. Specific experience in the Data Center or Energy industries is highly preferred. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field; MBA or JD is a significant advantage given the complexity of our global contracts.
