Overview In this client-facing position, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of establishing solid relationships and possess a polished and highly personable demeanor. We are seeking a self-starter who has taken control of their career to date and is eager to make a significant impact. How you'll make an impact M&A - Assist in due diligence and integration of GBS acquisitions, specifically Assured Partners, including flagging risks, identifying key integration priorities, and making recommendations to minimize ongoing risk - Assist in the development of legal and compliance training for new merger partners, collaborating with stakeholders on the legal and operations teams - Help identify and deploy process improvements for the M&A function Disputes - Triage pre-litigation errors and omissions issues, supporting corporate claims and litigation teams as needed Financial Services - In our Registered Investment Advisor Business, review investment consulting contracts for legal and business issues - Analyze legal review of RFP terms and conditions and support the RFP business team in submitting legal's exceptions to RFPs General - Various legal projects for the GBS legal team and General Counsel - Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders About You Required: Law degree and 5 years of pertinent experience in contract drafting and negotiation at a law firm or in-house Preferred: - Must be a member in good standing of a US Bar - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Skilled lawyer with strategic business acumen - Self-directed, initiative-driven, and goal-oriented - Excellent interpersonal skills, accustomed to working and engaging with a diverse team of people - Strong communication skills to influence and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Exceptional negotiation, organization, and communication skills - Proficient drafting skills #APIntegration Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position.
