The Agency Sales Manager II is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of agency relationships within an assigned group. This role combines sales leadership, business development, and relationship management to drive new business growth, improve agent performance, and expand Hagerty’s market presence. By leveraging business intelligence, collaborating with internal partners, and engaging with agents, the Agency Sales Manager ensures alignment with company goals and solidifies Hagerty’s brand position in the marketplace. What you’ll do - Agency & Relationship Management: Oversee a defined territory of agency partners, maintaining strong relationships and driving growth through consultative engagement. - Business Development: Develop and execute business plans to increase new business written premium, agent production, and retention. - Sales Growth: Drive sales through agency engagement, awareness campaigns, targeted events, and prospecting opportunities. - Strategic Partnerships: Leverage relationships with agency leaders, State Farm partners, national brokers, and industry influencers to expand market reach. - Events & Engagement: Attend industry conferences, car shows, and insurance organization events; deliver presentations to agents and partners. - Collaboration: Partner with regional field leaders, product managers, marketing, and national partner teams to achieve sales objectives. - Training & Support: Provide agents with resources, tools, and training on Hagerty products, underwriting guidelines, and systems (Salesforce, DriveTrain, etc.). - Performance Analysis: Collect and analyze data to monitor sales activity and territory performance, adjusting strategies as needed. - Reporting: Produce detailed reports on territory results, competitive activity, and market trends for leadership. - Brand Representation: Promote Hagerty’s mission to Save Driving and Enjoy The Ride by building awareness through local campaigns and networking. - Owns new business growth in a defined agency list that includes larger accounts such as High-Net-Worth agents, national brokers and multi-state offices. - Executive level responsibility with National Brokers. - Advance understanding of insurance operations and competitor analysis. - Engage with producers, customer support staff, agency owners and operations managers. - Works with Top State Farm, High Net Worth clients, and National Brokers. This might describe you - Proven track record in sales, business development, or territory management. - Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills. - Strategic thinker with analytical abilities to interpret performance data. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Tech-savvy; proficient in Salesforce, DriveTrain, and MS Office tools. - Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of 2–5 years relevant sales experience. - Valid driver’s license with good driving record; willingness to travel regularly. - Insurance license required. (Will assist in obtaining if not already licensed) Other things to note - This position will be worked from a remote home office and may require road time to visit agents or attend agency conferences. - May require travel for quarterly events. - Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable.
