• Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in state and federal regulations related to chattel loan origination and servicing operations. Assess the impact of regulatory changes on company policies and procedures. • Project Management: Coordinate compliance-related projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement compliance initiatives effectively. • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices. Analyze existing policies and procedures to identify gaps and recommend enhancements. • Policy and Procedure Development: Draft, revise, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements and company objectives. • Regulatory Exams Assistance: Assist with regulatory examinations and audits. Compile and organize documentation, reports, and data requested by regulators. • Licensing and Reporting: Assist in the submission of company and employee license application and the ongoing maintenance of such. Preparation and submission of NMLC Mortgage Call Report and other required reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Compliance related certifications are a plus, but not required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in mortgage lending and/or servicing compliance or risk management, preferably in the manufactured home/chattel lending space.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of regulations governing mortgage lending and servicing.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly convey complex regulatory requirements to team members and stakeholders.
