• Lead and support SAP Ariba Sourcing implementations, including event creation, RFx, auctions, scoring, and award scenarios • Configure Ariba Contracts including clause libraries, templates, approval workflows, and contract authoring processes • Conduct requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design workshops with business stakeholders • Translate sourcing and contracting business processes into standard Ariba capabilities, minimizing customizations • Assist with data migration, master data validation, and sourcing template standardization • Develop and execute SIT and UAT test scenarios aligned to sourcing and contracting processes • Support cutover, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization activities • Troubleshoot functional issues and drive resolution with SAP and internal teams

Role Description As a Sr. Procurement Analyst at Vallen, you will play a key role in the development and execution of Vallen's Enterprise Direct Sourcing Strategy, aligned with organizational goals and profitability targets. This newly formed function is central to supporting the Category Management and Pricing teams, ensuring a unified and strategic approach to supplier cost management across the organization. - Drive enterprise-wide cost savings through proactive sourcing initiatives and reactive cost management. - Provide negotiation support and analytics to enhance profitability and strengthen Vallen's competitive position in the market. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Enterprise Sourcing Strategy: Drive annual procurement events in partnership with Category Management, focused on reducing total cost of ownership. - Reactive Cost Management: Analyze annual and tariff related supplier cost changes to ensure validity and alignment with market and commodity trends. Provide data driven recommendations and negotiation strategies to challenge or mitigate unjustified cost increases. - Proactive Procurement Activities: Provide negotiation support for Category Reviews by managing RFP processes and delivering supplier intelligence to guide strategic decision-making. Analyze spend data and supplier performance to identify proactive sourcing and negotiation opportunities. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Category Management and Pricing to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives. - Analytics & Reporting: Lead analytical support for proactive and reactive procurement initiatives by delivering actionable insights through data analysis, market research, and financial modeling. Contribute to the development of standardized sourcing processes, tools, and reporting to track performance, cost savings, supplier compliance, and other key KPIs. - Other duties assigned by manager. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. - Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret large complex data sets. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel proficiency (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas) required. - Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders through clear, data-backed recommendations and teamwork. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive, process-improvement mindset. - Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic enterprise environment. Requirements - 2–4 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or a related analytical function. - Experience using SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus. - International sourcing or understanding of global trade dynamics (tariffs, duties, etc.). - Familiarity with industrial distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale environments. • Customer Outreach: Conduct proactive outreach across a diverse client portfolio to ensure clients are fully functional on our platform. Gather Voice of Customer insights for future product updates. • Account Management & Support: Independently manage communications and account needs for lower-tier and less complex accounts, ensuring each client feels supported and fully operational on the platform. • Onboarding Support: Support onboarding for new clients, which includes account setup, delivering introductory training, and addressing initial troubleshooting inquiries. Over time, handle end-user onboarding independently, allowing CSMs to focus on executive stakeholders. • Account Support Assistance: Collaborate with CSMs to support day-to-day account activities such as user outreach, growing share of wallet, capturing client feedback for platform improvements, and addressing client needs by directing them to the appropriate support channel (e.g., Member Services, training resources, CSM escalation). • Customer Engagement Tracking: Monitor platform usage to identify any issues or improvement opportunities, working closely with CSMs to address these and promote client engagement. • Presentation Preparation: Assist in creating quarterly business review (QBR) presentations for CSMs by developing Google Slide/PowerPoint decks, highlighting client health/engagement scores, emerging trends, and the value clients gain from our platform. • Client Support: Serve as an initial point of contact for client inquiries, escalating complex issues to CSMs or other teams as necessary to ensure timely and effective resolution. • Sales Assistance: Identify potential sales leads through client interactions, supporting sales initiatives by identifying affiliate outreach and other strategies.

• Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. • Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family. • Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. • May perform delivery assurance responsibilities. • Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. • Responds to value stream inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction. • Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest. • Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance. • Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices. • Prepares request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. • Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries. • Develop and follow existing procedures, processes, and work instructions. • Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to new team members.
