FIS

At FIS, we power the financial world with innovative technology and transform the future of fintech. We are committed to diversity, delivering the best solutions for our colleagues, clients, and communities. Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on fintech? About the Role As part of the enterprise architecture team, you will play a key role in planning, overseeing, and collaborating on an enterprise roadmap that connects business objectives with IT execution. Your responsibility includes turning the company's strategy into cost-effective, future-ready technology solutions. Your expertise will shape the development of scalable, resilient, and efficient systems that support both our business goals and technological vision. You will work closely with technology leaders and specialists in Cloud Technology, Data Analytics, AI, and DevOps, helping to set direction for our overall solutions architecture. With a structured approach, you will steer modernization efforts to gain competitive advantage by linking architecture to business outcomes and treating modernization as a continual process. Beyond making solid engineering decisions, you will take a broad view of Enterprise Architecture—thinking about how system design affects business structure and vice versa. Your leadership will be essential in advancing our working methods across the organization. What you will be doing • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with enterprise security, risk, legal, privacy, compliance, and other relevant teams to identify, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive organization-wide governance and best practices. • Collaborate across the organization to assess technology requirements, develop architectural frameworks, and implement scalable data platforms that support internal and external consumption, AI capabilities, and cloud adoption for resilience and cost-efficiency. • Ensure AI is a foundational enabler for the enterprise, including defining and upholding standards, processes, and responsible practices for the evaluation, adoption, integration, migration, and lifecycle management of Large Language Models and AI Agents. • Simplify operations and reduce technical debt by eliminating redundant software tools, services, and processes, supporting End-of-Life initiatives and the evaluation of technology maturity to recommend modern cloud-based replacements as needed. • Define, maintain, and communicate reference architectures, blueprints, frameworks, and interoperability models that guide technical teams and ensure architectural coherence, integrity, and compliance throughout all platforms and products. • Partner with business and technology units to define and evolve current, transitional, and target operating models, adjusting architectural strategies as business requirements evolve and promoting emergent design and evolutionary change. • Provide consulting services, architectural evaluation, and guidance for solutions and third-party services, ensuring alignment with published enterprise standards, governance, and risk management processes. • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by mentoring teams, facilitating training on governance and architecture, and building strong collaborative relationships across the enterprise. • Communicate architectural vision, progress, business value, and lessons learned effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including both technical and non-technical audiences. • Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating advancements into the company’s architectural landscape and guiding teams in modernizing legacy systems through incremental, low-disruption strategies. What you Bring • Proven experience in enterprise architecture and large-scale project delivery. • Strong leadership managing complex projects and leading teams. • Skilled at influencing stakeholders across all levels and driving change. • Expert in building relationships and cross-functional collaboration. • Deep knowledge of architectural styles, design patterns, and development methodologies. • Excellent communicator able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Understands business models, industry trends, and competitive dynamics, focusing on value and results. • Able to think strategically and anticipate future opportunities. • Adaptable to ambiguity and changing strategies. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field What we offer you A career at FIS is more than just a job. It’s the chance to shape the future of fintech. At FIS, we offer you: • A voice in the future of fintech • Always-on learning and development • Collaborative work environment • Opportunities to give back • Competitive salary and benefits Privacy Statement FIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
