Database Administrator, Oracle GoldenGate
Wavestone
• Ensure stable operation of Oracle GoldenGate • Review implemented procedures and architectures • Transfer know-how and build expertise among other team members • Install and configure Oracle GoldenGate Microservices (OGGMA) • Set up Extract and Replicat processes for various use cases • Configure DML replication and handle conflict detection & resolution in bidirectional setups • Monitor and troubleshoot, including analysis of lag, checkpoint issues, and blockages • Diagnose faults using GoldenGate logs, event logs and performance views • Ensure system performance and stability • Optimize system parameters through targeted parameter tuning (e.g. BATCHSQL, FETCHOPTIONS, DBOPTIONS)
Job Requirements
- Senior consultant with at least 6 years of professional experience in database administration
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate architecture including Extract, Replicat, trail files, checkpoints, and Classic & Integrated Extract/Replicat
- Expertise in installing and configuring Oracle GoldenGate Microservices (OGGMA)
- Experience with uni-directional, bi-directional and multimaster replication as well as replication between heterogeneous systems (e.g. Oracle to Db2 z/OS)
- Knowledge in setting up Extract/Replicat processes and configuring DML replication
- Experience in conflict handling (Conflict Detection & Resolution) for bidirectional setups
- Proficient with Oracle 19c and Red Hat Linux in virtualized environments
- Competence in monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning of GoldenGate (lag analysis, GG logs, parameter tuning)
- Experience using tools such as Ansible, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Dynatrace and Rubrik
- Business-fluent German language skills
