Accounting Manager

Role Description We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our remote team and lead accounting operations across multiple consumer brand clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced environment and enjoys owning the full accounting lifecycle - from month-end close to inventory accuracy to system optimization. You'll act as a trusted accounting partner to our clients while helping maintain FINNess high standards for accuracy, process, and GAAP compliance. Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple consumer goods clients at varying stages of growth - Own and oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation - Ensure GAAP-compliant financials within NetSuite (required), including ongoing review and optimization of accounting workflows - Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls - Partner closely with client operations, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting - Support audits, tax filings, investor due diligence, and special projects as needed - Lead inventory accounting across complex supply chains, including COGS, landed costs, inventory reconciliations, and variance analysis - Ensure accurate multi-channel revenue reporting across Amazon, Shopify, DTC, and wholesale channels - Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous process improvements across the firm Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required preferred - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within CPG, consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce - NetSuite experience required (inventory and multi-entity experience strongly preferred) - Deep understanding of GAAP, inventory costing methods, and revenue recognition - Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, light modeling) - Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements - Prior experience in an outsourced accounting, advisory, or client-facing environment is a strong plus Benefits - Competitive compensation: $85,000–$120,000, based on experience - Fully remote, flexible work environment - Supportive, collaborative, all-women team culture - Exposure to a diverse portfolio of high-growth consumer brands - Clear opportunities for professional growth and advancement - Competitive compensation and the chance to make a real impact - for clients and for the firm Company Description FINNess Advisors is an all-women outsourced accounting and finance firm specializing in consumer products, investor-ready financials, and GAAP-compliant reporting.
