We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and forward-thinking Vice President of Network to lead, manage, and innovate our global network infrastructure. This leadership position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of network administration, ensuring the integrity, security, scalability, and efficiency of data network systems across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a proven capability in managing complex network environments at scale. Job Responsibilities - Strategic: - Develop and implement the vision and strategy for enterprise-wide network solutions that align with business objectives. - Lead the development of long-term plans for data network, disaster recovery, backup, and archiving to ensure scalability, performance, and security. - Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage. - Team Management: - Lead and manage a global team of network engineers and administrators. - Provide mentorship, career development, and performance management to network team members. - Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence within the network team. - Infrastructure Management: - Oversee the implementation, and maintenance of network systems (SAN, NAS, object network, cloud network, etc.). - Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of network systems. - Lead efforts to manage capacity planning, data migration, and data lifecycle management. - Security and Compliance: - Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices related to data network, including security, privacy, and governance. - Implement robust data protection mechanisms, including encryption, backup, and disaster recovery plans. - Manage risk assessments and remediation plans for network-related vulnerabilities. - Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, application development, and security, to ensure network infrastructure meets organizational needs. - Work closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to define requirements and ensure alignment with overall IT strategy. - Represent network administration at meetings, providing updates, reports, and strategic recommendations. - Budget & Vendor Management: - Oversee the network budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost management. - Manage relationships with third-party network vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations and service level agreements (SLAs). - Evaluate and select new network technologies and platforms, ensuring alignment with business requirements and IT strategy. Requirements Education: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Network Professional, etc.) are a plus. - Experience: - 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management with a strong focus on infrastructure and IT operations projects; - Extensive experience managing enterprise-scale network systems, cloud network, and hybrid architectures. - Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing complex network environments. - Strong background in data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Proven success managing large-scale programs or multi-project portfolios within complex enterprise environments. - Skills: - Deep technical expertise in network technologies and systems architecture. - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to drive change and innovation in a large, global organization. - Expertise in data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). - Proven experience with cloud network solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud network environments. - Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools for network provisioning and management. - Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, security, and operations teams. - Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term goals with day-to-day operational needs. The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is up to $200,000 USD. This job is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
