Job Description
Infrastructure Engineer
SOFTETA
• Design, build and maintain Kubernetes clusters on dedicated servers to support high‑throughput scraping APIs. • Develop and manage infrastructure‑as‑code using Ansible or SaltStack to provision servers, deploy services and automate routine tasks. • Deploy and tune Redpanda (or similar Kafka‑compatible streaming) clusters, Valkey caches and Elasticsearch indexes to ensure low latency and high availability. • Implement monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics and related tools; build dashboards and respond to incidents. • Plan capacity and optimise resource utilisation across hundreds of servers; participate in scaling decisions based on traffic patterns and new features. • Collaborate with developers to design new microservices and ensure infrastructure meets performance and security requirements. • Troubleshoot complex system issues, from network bottlenecks to container runtime problems, and implement durable fixes. • Contribute to documentation, post‑mortems and continuous improvement of our DevOps practices.
Job Requirements
- Solid Linux system administration skills and proven experience operating large‑scale infrastructures.
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments (on cloud or bare‑metal).
- Proficiency with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, SaltStack or similar.
- Familiarity with at least some of our stack (Redpanda/Kafka, Valkey/Redis, Elastic, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics);
- Ability to script in Bash or Python and a good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; you enjoy partnering with developers and other teams to deliver reliable systems.
Benefits
- Diverse and technically challenging projects;
- Flexible working hours and hybrid or remote workplace model;
- Flexible schedule and Agile/SCRUM environment;
