Front-End Engineer
Emergent Software
• Design and build data-heavy application interfaces with a strong focus on usability, performance, and real-world workflows • Translate complex business requirements into intuitive UI and UX patterns such as tables, forms, dashboards, and map-based experiences • Build responsive, consistent interfaces using Tailwind CSS or Material UI (MUI) • Create and maintain reusable component libraries and front-end design systems • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define interaction models, front-end architecture, and state management approaches • Use Vite for fast local development and optimized builds to support quick iteration and a smooth developer experience • Build and enhance geospatial and map-based UI features including route visualization, tracking, and location-based insights • Focus on data clarity, performance, and scalability when working with large datasets
Job Requirements
- Strong experience with TypeScript in front-end applications
- Solid experience building complex, data-driven user interfaces
- Deep interest in front-end and UI development as a core focus, not a stepping stone
- Comfortable working closely with product and engineering partners
- Experience thinking through UX problems and proposing practical, user-friendly solutions
- Understanding of front-end performance considerations for large, dynamic datasets
- Experience with React
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and or Material UI (MUI)
- Experience building dashboards, admin tools, or internal products
- Exposure to mapping or geospatial UI libraries and concepts
- Experience creating or contributing to front-end design systems.
