Senior Manager – API Product Lead

• Product Owner for the API team which is responsible to build products that enable simple and flexible server-side APIs. • Own, maintain and evolve existing APIs (v1/payments) as well as play a key role in enabling future features & functionality. • Own and drive a product roadmap that meets business goals, achieves key performance indicators, and provide a world-class customer experience • Deliver a new Partner Portal, Developer Portal, module catalog, and related Partner APIsEnsure all APIs are developed with for externalization from the start • Help Partners understand opportunities to introduce Shop Your Way capabilities into their customer solutions • Partner with customers, partners, and internal teams to understand and define product needs • Collaborate with the executive team, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to build an end-to-end experience • Lead feature definition and prioritization, internally informed by data analytics, product metrics, user experience research, competitive and market analysis, internal stakeholders and business goals • Collaborate with stakeholders and partner with engineers and designers to deliver high-quality experiences • Provide clear vision and documentation, including use cases and product requirements to support UX design, development, and operations support • Build and present executive product updates, including performance metrics, delivery status, and roadmap updates • Build a world-class Product Management team and mentor leaders and product managers on the team
Job Requirements
- Experience building developer facing products and an appreciation for the "developer" persona. Have a point of view and a perception on what makes a "good" developer experience.
- Familiarity and experience evaluating and enabling experience across the broad spectrum of "Developer" touch points – Developer Documentation / Portal, Sandbox, other external and internal tools.
- Broad Appreciation of API design principles and a maturity to understand e2e Integration Experience as perceived by a developer.
- Not a coder but comfortable enough to use and demo the API Product being built. Ability to make API requests (JSON),make API calls with Postman/Curl.
- Prior experience building KPIs/Metrics focused on Developer Interactions particularly concepts such as TTFHW (Time to First Hello World) and others as appropriate.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience (developers, product managers and senior business leaders).
- Have a strong degree of technical fluency that allows you to communicate with and understand your target audience (developers), translating their needs into clear product strategy.
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
