You won't need to relocate, but some travel will be required. Depending on experience and qualifications, you'll earn $175,000 - 200,000/year and receive performance-based bonuses for meeting targets. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 10+ years of related experience, preferably with a consumer packaged goods company - Experience leading teams and driving a sales organization's growth - Strong fundamentals in "Challenger Sales" techniques - Knowledge of financial aspects like budgeting, forecasting, planning, and P&L oversight - Familiarity with the food industry and grocery aisles - Ability to travel extensively - Ability to stay organized, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment - Ability to close deals and secure business in meetings and training environments - Strategic problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset - Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities - Suitable home office for remote work - U.S. residency, preferably on the East Coast Our Ideal Eastern Sales Director - Experience in grocery, mass, natural, club, and private labels - Training on sales strategies with a large food company - Proven success in an entrepreneurial environment - Proven experience managing multiple broker teams - Solid understanding of retail grocery departments, particularly in-store bakeries - Full understanding of the food distributor network and processes YOUR IMPACT AS OUR EASTERN SALES DIRECTOR You'll oversee our business operations throughout the eastern region, proactively identifying expansion opportunities and motivating the sales team to break into new territories.
