Job purpose Senior enterprise leader responsible for establishing and scaling the Data Center Logistics Center of Excellence, reporting to the Data Center Logistics Taskforce, and governing execution of one of the Group’s highest-growth, mission-critical sectors. Anchored in the Voice of the Customer, the role ensures customer needs, deployment realities, and experience insights are embedded into strategy, operating models, and execution in line with Strategy 2030 priorities of focused growth, customer centricity, and differentiated value creation. Operating cross-business-unit across DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain, and CSI Commercial, the role connects air, ocean, warehousing, White Glove, and adjacent value-added services into seamless solutions for hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise data center customers. Principal accountabilities - Act as the single point of accountability for the Data Center Logistics COE and its operating model. - Report into and support the Data Center Logistics Taskforce, ensuring execution discipline, transparency, and alignment. - Lead development and rollout of a White Glove, cross-pillar capability, independent of product or BU, ensuring consistent premium service standards globally. - Drive execution of Taskforce priorities across Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Product, IT, and Regions. - Establish and maintain enterprise governance frameworks, including RACI, decision forums, escalation paths, and execution cadence. - Own end-to-end sector reporting, including strategy progress, performance metrics, capability maturity, risks, and interdependencies. - Prepare and deliver executive and Board-level updates with clear insights and recommendations. - Coordinate cross-BU initiatives to avoid duplication, resolve conflicts, and ensure a seamless customer experience. - Integrate Voice of the Customer insights into sector strategy, operating models, and continuous improvement. - Enable scalable execution through COE tools, templates, playbooks, certification standards, and ways of working. - Act as a neutral enterprise integrator, balancing BU priorities with overall Group value creation. - Manage above in a matrix, XBU environment across multiple stakeholders Required Skills & Capabilities - Enterprise-minded leader with strong governance rigor and execution discipline. - Highly structured thinker able to simplify complexity and drive clarity at scale. - Trusted senior stakeholder partner with strong executive presence and influencing skills. - Comfortable operating with ambiguity, competing priorities, and high accountability. - Strong bias for action, ownership, and measurable outcomes. - Natural integrator who builds alignment across diverse business models and cultures. Experience & Other Requirements - Bachelor Degree or equivalent - 12–18+ years in logistics, supply chain, infrastructure, or complex enterprise environments. - Proven experience operating in a matrix, multi-business-unit organization, ideally spanning Global Forwarding, Express, and Supply Chain. - Strong understanding of data center logistics, mission-critical infrastructure, or adjacent technology-driven sectors. - Demonstrated success leading Centers of Excellence, governance models, or large cross-enterprise transformation initiatives. - Experience designing and scaling premium, standardized service offerings (e.g., White Glove, mission-critical services). - Strong track record preparing and presenting executive- and Board-level materials. - High credibility working with senior commercial, operational, and technical leaders.
