• Building, developing and enabling high performing teams who build awesome products is the main responsibility for our Engineering Managers. • It’s the entry position in our Engineering Management career path and reports to a Head of Product Engineering. • As an Engineering Manager joining our team, you will initially focus on hands-on technical tasks like an individual contributor allowing you to gain a deep understanding of our infrastructure and systems so that you know the code inside and out before adding managerial responsibilities to your plate. • This approach enables you to understand the technical challenges your team encounters deeply, setting you and the team up for future wins. • You have found your passion in software development, but you enjoy building the right team, removing roadblocks, helping others, creating transparency, and alignment even more than being an individual contributor. • Based on your experience, you will start by leading the engineers of one product team in a you-build-it-you-run-it environment, with a clear perspective to expand to multiple teams as responsibility and impact grow. • Depending on team size and setup, you will remain hands-on to a reasonable extent, especially where technical guidance, architectural decisions, code reviews, or complex problem-solving are needed. • You are going to help our engineers grow personally and professionally - not only by advancing their skills, but also by inspiring them through purpose. • You make sure that we leverage (new) technology within our product teams to build products customers love and work for the business. • You are accountable for delivery and reliability of your teams’ products, balancing scope, quality, performance, and operational stability in a high-traffic B2C environment. • You will contribute to strategic initiatives that are larger than your team(s) like raising the engineering bar, improving our guidelines, and defining how we work as an organization.
• Manage, grow, and support a team of product experienced engineers responsible for applications, tools, and infrastructure that drive our security products. • Work closely with engineers, scientists, stakeholders, and other domain experts to come up with and execute on unique solutions that contribute to the detection and mitigation of fraud and automation. • Mentor and guide engineers to grow in skill and knowledge, allowing them to make the best decisions given the right tools and context. • Participate in code and architecture design, contribute to feature development, and maintain high-quality standards via peer reviews and mentorship.
• Guide a team of engineers by providing direction, support, and professional growth opportunities. • Establish and uphold high coding and performance standards, encouraging best practices across the team. • Partner with product, design, and business teams to shape technical solutions that meet business goals. • Implement efficient development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable practices to maximize productivity and quality. • Resolve technical and operational issues swiftly, ensuring minimal disruption to product delivery.
• Architect the future of AI-native sourcing: Traditional staffing is broken; you will lead the development of the AI-native solution that fixes it. You aren’t just making UI tweaks, you are leveraging AI to build a high-signal, "magic" experience for hundreds of thousands of users across Europe. • Lead Product Delivery: Translate C-level ambition into a high-velocity technical roadmap. You are the guardian of our standards, making the hard calls between shipping "wow" AI features today and maintaining the long-term architectural health of the platform. • Drive Engineering Excellence: As a hands-on leader, you serve as a force multiplier for quality. Through architectural guidance and deep participation in code reviews, you ensure that speed never compromises system stability or elegant design. • Cultivate Product Engineers: Directly lead two high-impact squads by fostering a culture of autonomy. Your mission is to coach developers into Product Engineers problem solvers who understand the "why" behind the code and take extreme ownership of the user outcome. • Drive Operational Excellence: Refine our agile rituals to ensure maximum flow. You thrive on turning complex constraints into clear paths forward, ensuring your squads remain unblocked, focused, and obsessed with delivery.
