Job Description
Senior UI/UX Designer

About DevSavant DevSavant is a boutique firm within the Savant Growth ecosystem specializing in connecting top LATAM talent with US-based B2B Tech and AI companies. Our Product Engineering division serves as a strategic build partner for AI-powered products, delivering MVPs, proof-of-concepts, and production-ready solutions for funded startups and growth-stage companies. We ship workflows, not widgets. Our work spans AI-powered products, native mobile apps, web platforms, and automation tools across industries like EdTech, FinTech, Legal Automation, and B2B SaaS. About the Role We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our Product Engineering team and own the design layer across multiple concurrent client projects. You will be the go-to design expert responsible for translating product requirements and user needs into beautiful, functional, and production-ready interfaces. This is not a pixel-pushing role. You will be embedded in cross-functional project pods alongside engineers, a Technical Product Manager, and the Director of AI & Software Development. You will shape how products look, feel, and behave from discovery through delivery. You will work on 2-4 projects simultaneously, each at different stages of the product lifecycle. You will leverage AI-powered design tools extensively. We expect fluency with Figma AI, Figma Make, and emerging generative design tools to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and iteration. If you are already using AI to generate layouts, create design system variants, and produce high-fidelity prototypes from prompts, you will thrive here. What You Will Do Design Execution • Own the end-to-end design process from wireframes through high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes for web and mobile platforms • Create user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns for complex AI- powered products • Build and maintain scalable design systems with reusable components, tokens, and variables in Figma • Produce developer-ready handoffs using Figma Dev Mode with clear specs, component documentation, and responsive behavior guidelines • Design for multiple platforms including web (React/Remix), iOS (Swift/SwiftUI), and responsive mobile experiences AI-Augmented Workflow • Use Figma Make to rapidly generate and iterate on high-fidelity prototypes from prompts and design system context • Leverage Figma AI features (First Draft, visual search, content generation, Vectorize) to accelerate exploration and reduce manual overhead • Use FigJam AI for user journey mapping, brainstorming, and collaborative ideation sessions • Explore and integrate emerging AI design tools (v0, Lovable, Bolt.dev, Adobe Firefly, Uizard) to push the speed and quality of design output • Use the Figma MCP server to bridge design context into agentic coding tools like Cursor and Claude Code, enabling tighter design-to-code workflows Collaboration & Communication • Partner closely with the Technical Product Manager and Director of AI & Software Development on project discovery and requirements definition • Participate in client-facing discovery sessions, presenting design concepts and rationale with clarity and confidence • Contribute to Blueprint and BRD phases with UI/UX perspectives, user flow diagrams, and interaction mockups • Provide design QA during development sprints, reviewing implementations against specs and flagging visual/interaction discrepancies • Share same-day Slack updates following meetings and design milestones per DevSavant communication guidelines Cross-Project Ownership • Manage design workstreams for 2-4 concurrent projects at different lifecycle stages (discovery, build, iteration) • Prioritize and context-switch effectively across projects with varying complexity and timelines • Build a shared DevSavant component library and design patterns that accelerate future project kickoffs What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications • 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped web and mobile products • Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, nested components, variables, shared libraries, and Dev Mode • Demonstrated experience with AI-powered design tools: Figma AI, Figma Make, or equivalent generative design workflows • Proven ability to design for AI-powered products (chatbots, dashboards with AI features, intelligent automation UIs, or similar) • Strong command of user research fundamentals: user flows, personas, journey mapping, and usability heuristics • Experience creating and maintaining design systems at scale across multiple products • Ability to produce interactive, clickable prototypes that communicate complex user flows to clients and developers • Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience working in Agile/sprint-based environments with cross-functional engineering teams • A portfolio that demonstrates clean, modern, and user-centric design with strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications • Experience with FigJam for collaborative workshops and ideation • Familiarity with AI-assisted prototyping tools like v0 (Vercel), Lovable, Bolt.dev, or Uizard • Understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, React component patterns) to create developer-friendly handoffs • Experience designing for SaaS, EdTech, or FinTech products • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and responsive design best practices • Experience working with LATAM-based or distributed remote teams serving US clients • Understanding of the Figma MCP server and design-to-code bridge workflows • Comfort with motion design and micro-interactions using tools like Figma prototyping or Framer Stack - Core Design: Figma Design, Figma Make, FigJam, Figma Dev Mode - AI Design Tools: Figma AI (First Draft, Vectorize, content generation), v0, Lovable, Bolt.dev - Prototyping: Figma Prototyping, Framer (nice to have) - Collaboration: Slack, Linear, GitHub, GitBook - Design-to-Code: Figma MCP Server, Cursor, Claude Code - Image & Assets: Adobe Firefly, Midjourney (nice to have) How We Work • Discovery-first methodology: every project starts with Blueprint, BRD, TRD, and wireframes before code is written • Project pods: you will work alongside engineers, a Technical Product Manager, and the AI & Software Director • Weekly client demos: your designs ship to real users fast, with iterative feedback loops • Async-first communication: Slack for updates, Linear for task management, GitHub for version control • AI-augmented development: we use Cursor, Claude Code, and AI tools extensively across the team, and expect the same from design What Success Looks Like In 30 Days • Onboarded to active projects with full context on existing design systems, brand guidelines, and client relationships • Delivered first design iterations on at least one project using Figma Make and Figma AI workflows • Established your working rhythm across 2-3 concurrent projects In 90 Days • Owning design delivery across 3-4 concurrent projects with minimal oversight • Built or significantly improved a shared DevSavant component library for cross-project reuse • Contributed design perspectives to at least 2 client discovery sessions • Established a design QA cadence with the engineering team In 6 Months • Recognized as the design authority across the Product Engineering division • Design output contributes to at least 2 published case studies showcasing product quality • Reduced design phase timelines by 30%+ through effective use of AI-powered design tools • Proactively identifying UX improvements and opportunities across client products Compensation & Benefits • Competitive monthly compensation based on experience and location • Flexible remote-first work environment with US timezone overlap (typically 4+ hours) • Direct collaboration with senior technical leadership on high-impact AI products • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of client projects across industries • Access to AI design tools and professional development budget • Growth path into Lead Designer or Design Director role as the division scales How to Apply Send your portfolio and a brief note on how you use AI in your design workflow. We care more about your process, taste, and adaptability than a long resume. Show us shipped products, design systems you have built, and examples of AI-augmented design work. What we want to see in your portfolio: Case studies that walk through your design process from problem definition to final UI. Bonus points for projects involving AI-powered products, multi-platform design systems, and examples where you used AI tools to accelerate your workflow. DevSavant is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.
