About the Role This is a specialist-level position within the professional career stream, primarily operating as an individual contributor. The role involves managing and delivering projects from concept through implementation while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The position may also include mentoring junior team members and contributing to the successful execution of strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, develop, and implement short- and long-term business strategies related to the development of new products, technologies, services, and market opportunities. - Analyze markets, identify licensing opportunities, and assess the feasibility of business and product development initiatives. - Conduct economic analyses for new or improved product opportunities. - Develop business models and analyze market trends to support long-term growth prospects. - Collaborate with internal departments to identify and execute business development projects. - Work with sales, marketing, and potential customers to understand their needs. - Continuously communicate project progress, goals, and key updates to relevant stakeholders. Autonomy & Scope - Works independently with general supervision on moderately complex projects. - Sets objectives within own area to support project goals and milestones. - Contributes to cross-functional initiatives. Innovation & Problem Solving - Addresses routine business challenges requiring a broad understanding of related areas. - Recommends improvements to processes and systems to enhance effectiveness. Communication & Influence - Regularly interacts with internal stakeholders. - Engages in less complex external interactions focused on information sharing and problem-solving. - Provides updates on status, needs, and issues to support decision-making. Leadership & Team Support - May provide guidance and support to junior professionals or support staff. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent). - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with no prior experience required. - Demonstrated practical knowledge and competence in business development, market analysis, and project execution.
