• Collaborate closely with product, design, and marketing teams to define, architect, and build new features and enhancements for our platform, with a specific focus on best-in-class user experiences • Define platform architecture and strategy to scale while maintaining high performance • Maintain high code quality standards on the team with a focus on clean, maintainable, and scalable code • Oversee and guide the technical work of contractor engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and engineering standards • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and provide mentorship where appropriate • Help establish and refine engineering processes, tools, and workflows to improve team effectiveness and efficiency • Evaluate third-party solution options and contribute to build-vs-buy decisions • Act as the technical owner for key areas of the platform, monitoring platform analytics and performance and proactively identifying potential issues and areas for improvement • Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly with Shopify, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

• Design and build open-source Pulumi SDKs in multiple programming languages. • Provide appropriate test coverage, clearly document design choices, ensure great performance, reliability, and maintainability of your code. • Lead projects from concept to completion: collaborate with fellow engineers and customers to prototype, design, engineer, and test new features. • Determine roadmaps and scope features based on your interaction with the team and the open source community. • Contribute to the Pulumi community: engage with users to gather feedback, produce new sample content, and increase excitement about what we’re building.

• Architect, design, and develop software for complex SoC-based platforms • Develop Linux BSP components and write Linux device drivers from scratch • Implement secure firmware update mechanisms with integrity verification • Develop platform-level specifications across hardware, software, and system layers • Lead development of advanced USB-related software stacks • Collaborate with industry technologists and the Linux community • Debug and optimize system performance using industry tools
