Pre-Sales Solutions Architect

• Lead discovery conversations with prospects and current clients to understand business processes, pain points, requirements, and growth goals • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, maintainable Acumatica solution recommendations • Design high-level system configurations, workflows, reporting approaches, security structures, and integration strategies • Identify key risks, assumptions, dependencies, and gaps early in the sales cycle • Ensure recommended solutions are realistic, supportable, and aligned with implementation best practices • Support new and existing client opportunities through consultative solutioning and technical guidance • Partner closely with the sales team on qualified opportunities throughout the pre-sales cycle • Conduct or support tailored Acumatica product demonstrations based on client-specific scenarios and requirements • Assist with technical scoping, proposal development, and early solution estimates • Help position Acumatica and related offerings accurately and effectively for prospects and current clients • Support account growth by identifying additional opportunities for services, enhancements, and ISV solutions • Collaborate with sales, consulting, and technology teams to align solution direction with business needs and delivery capabilities • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing guidance on Acumatica capabilities, fit, and adoption strategy • Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders through thoughtful communication and credible recommendations • Support smooth handoff from pre-sales into implementation by documenting requirements, assumptions, and recommended approach • Mentor and support consultants, developers, and project team members as needed • Review work plans for technical staff to help ensure projects are completed on time and on budget • Establish and reinforce standards for solution design, data migration planning, and quality assurance • Serve as an escalation point for complex client technical issues where architectural guidance is needed • Own the evaluation and selection process for ISV solutions that integrate with Acumatica and other supported ERP platforms • Manage relationships with ISV vendors to ensure product quality, compatibility, and support alignment • Work with leadership and internal stakeholders to assess new ISV capabilities and determine strategic fit • Help ensure internal team readiness, training, and adoption for approved ISV tools and technologies • Identify and understand technical trends in ERP, SaaS, AI, infrastructure, and related technologies that may benefit clients or internal operations • Support solution architecture needs for both new and existing clients in a timely manner • Contribute to internal process improvements across development, support, and client success workflows • Participate in strategic initiatives tied to business growth, innovation, and operational improvement • Provide architectural support for post-implementation optimization, issue resolution, and performance improvement as needed • Deliver or support documentation, training, and knowledge transfer for internal teams and clients • Help strengthen reusable assets, best practices, and intellectual property across the organization

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of Acumatica experience in a hands-on, client-facing or pre-sales role
  • Strong understanding of Acumatica capabilities and their application to real-world business processes
  • Ability to lead discovery conversations and translate client needs into solution recommendations
  • Experience supporting prospects or clients through requirements gathering, solution design, or ERP advisory work
  • Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to support or deliver tailored Acumatica demonstrations
  • Strong business process understanding in one or more operational environments such as distribution, manufacturing, construction, or professional services
  • Ability to balance client needs, product fit, and delivery practicality
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an ERP VAR or related technology services organization
  • Experience contributing to scoping, estimation, or implementation planning
  • Experience evaluating third-party ISV solutions and integration options
  • Bachelor's degree, technical school degree, or relevant industry certifications
