Apex is seeking a talented Project Manager with Stormwater Infrastructure and Water Resources experience to join our Northeast Division Stormwater Infrastructure Group. This position may be FULLY REMOTE but the individual must be willing to travel to our New England offices and client/site locations at least once a month. The selected employee will provide technical leadership and project management for a variety of municipal and private stormwater and water resources projects, including - Hydraulic-Hydrologic (H-H) modeling - Bridge, culvert and drainage system design - Inland and coastal flood mitigation planning and design - Civil site design and grading Primary Responsibilities: - Work as a stormwater and water resources subject matter expert and be responsible for technical project delivery and design, scheduling, budgeting, and client management. - Supervise and direct individuals or teams of technical staff on complex projects and/or multiple smaller projects. - Assist in the training and technical development of staff by various means including holding training seminars, providing technical guidance during project execution, and bringing new technical developments in-house. - Assist with strategic planning, training, proposals, and business development. - Consult with other technical staff and Project Managers on technical challenges in the stormwater and water resources discipline while also providing independent technical reviews on stormwater and water resources components of projects for other disciplines. - Oversee the technical accuracy of project through regular communications with project staff, review of plans, specifications, reports, and calculations to ensure compliance with the firm's standards. - Recognize the potential risks of nonstandard technical matters or potential legal disputes by participating in required project risk and insurance training to minimize the firm's liability. - Present project updates and technical information to the client and at public meetings to review and discuss project details What we're looking for: - Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline - 8+ years of related experience in stormwater and water resources, including design and project management - Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Massachusetts, or the ability to obtain same by reciprocity - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, staff, subconsultants and contractors through effective leadership, and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills - Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators in the local and technical areas where Apex does work - Have excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong desire to manage and mentor junior staff - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record #LI-JS1 Why you'll love working with us: - Company-subsidized medical and dental - Company-paid life, short, and long-term disability - 401k match, tuition assistance, and more - Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects - Performance-based bonuses or other incentives - Working with the best and brightest in the industry - 2,000+ employee national firm with 70+ locations across the US Apex Job Title: Project Manager Req ID: 11392 Annual Expected Pay Range $95,000—$140,000 USD We believe in equality for all and celebrate the diversity and differences of our employees, customers, and communities.
