SIP Troubleshooting & Network Diagnostics - Perform packet captures using Wireshark and analyze SIP traffic to diagnose call quality issues such as dropped calls, one-way audio, or registration failures. - Troubleshoot network-related VoIP issues including latency, jitter, packet loss, and NAT traversal problems. - Monitor VoIP network performance and system uptime to maintain reliable voice services. - Investigate interoperability issues between carriers, SIP trunk providers, and VoIP platforms. PBX Platform Management - Manage and maintain PBX platforms including FreePBX, Asterisk, SkySwitch, CoreDial, 3CX, Cisco CUCM, Avaya, or similar systems. - Support configuration and maintenance of both hosted and on-premise VoIP systems. - Optimize PBX configurations to ensure reliable performance and scalability. Network Configuration & Optimization - Configure and maintain VLANs and Quality of Service (QoS) policies to prioritize voice traffic across the network. - Work with network teams to ensure proper bandwidth allocation and traffic routing for voice services. - Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues that impact VoIP performance. Linux System Administration - Manage VoIP infrastructure running on Linux-based environments. - Use the Linux command line to troubleshoot system issues, manage permissions, and maintain server stability. - Maintain system updates, patches, and configuration changes. Security & Fraud Prevention - Implement VoIP security best practices including SIP security, toll fraud prevention, and firewall protection. - Configure security tools such as fail2ban and firewall rules to protect the platform from unauthorized access. - Manage and configure Session Border Controllers to secure voice communications. Network & Server Security: Support planning, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of network security in collaboration with the Cyber Security Manager to safeguard IT infrastructure. Preventative Maintenance & Disaster Recovery: Coordinate and assist with server and network maintenance schedules, repairs, and disaster recovery plans, including testing of server recovery procedures to ensure operational continuity. Technology Monitoring & Innovation: Monitor technology trends and emerging solutions, keeping management informed and adopting innovative practices. Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum three (3) years’ experience in diverse Information Technology environments, including LAN/WANs, operating systems such as Windows, UNIX, Linux, and open-source platforms, and firewalls.
