Must have an active pharmacy technician license for the state of Colorado. Must be open to working an 8 hour shift assigned between 8:00am - 7:30pm Mountain Time. Job Purpose: - Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population by identifying patients that are eligible to fill with a Shields Partner Pharmacy. - Complete patient benefits investigations. - Protect Shields values by keeping information confidential. Job Duties: - Perform benefits investigation. - Utilize multiple approved tools to identify insurance coverage. - Research within patients' medical records for current medication regimen. - Complete benefits investigation with approved Pharmacy Dispensing Systems. - Document clearly and concisely all outcomes of benefits investigation in documentation tool. - Collaborate with team members to provide an integrated approach of quality patient care. - Apply observations and recommendations to operational issues, increased productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. - Identify trends, resolve problems; recommend improvements; implement change. - Actively participate in process improvement initiatives. - Act as a value-added business partner to stakeholders throughout the organization. - Protect organization's values by keeping information confidential. - Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. - Other duties as assigned. Skills: - We are looking for someone with strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn to navigate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Pharmacy Dispensing Systems (PDS). - The applicant should be very organized self-motivated with attention to detail and have great interpersonal skills, high integrity and be dependable. - The ideal candidate will be an energetic and highly motivated, team player with a willingness to do whatever is necessary for the betterment of the company. Discretion and confidentiality are essential as position deals with highly sensitive and private data. Experience/ Education: Required Licensure/Certification: We are seeking experienced pharmacy technicians. Nationally certified from PTCB or equivalent is strongly preferred but not required. State license is required. Dependent on hospital placement you may be required to become state certified. Should licensure need to be obtained, the applicant will commit to obtaining the required licensure within a mutually agreed upon timeframe. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements. Years of Experience: 0-1 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Required Education: High school diploma or GED. Overview Advanced Hearing Providers (“AHP”) coordinates hearing healthcare services for employees with workers’ compensation claims. We connect patients with our nationwide network of qualified hearing healthcare providers on behalf of our clients; the payers and third-party administrators of workers’ compensation claims. We are seeking hard-working, self-motivated candidates with a positive attitude who are passionate about patient care and want to help people hear better. The position of Claims Specialist I (“CS I”) plays a critical role in the operation of the organization. The main function of an AHP CS I is coordinating authorized hearing healthcare for covered injured workers, demonstrating basic to intermediate competency within the role and duties assigned. AHP staff work as a TEAM and CARE– this is crucial! We expect team members to build trust and respect for each other by producing consistent results and going above and beyond, especially to help each other. Even though each CS will be working on their own assigned cases, interaction with other team members, clients, providers, and patients will occur often. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be able to work the core hours of 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM EST. The pay range for this role is $18.90-22.05 hourly. Responsibilities - Obtain a complete, thorough understanding of the workers’ compensation claims administration process, fees and participants. - Adhere to customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by maintaining contact with clients, providers, and claimants/patients as prescribed to ensure all parties are kept informed of the process status. - Successfully prioritize the workday utilizing our task-based systems, resulting in achieving daily completion of all required tasks (ensuring SLA compliance). - Ensure orders are properly documented in a timely manner. - Demonstrate an understanding of the workers’ compensation referral and RFA process - Demonstrate an understanding of navigating client/claimant requirements to ensure billable item eligibility is reviewed prior to submitting requests to client - Perform verification of all HCPC/CPT codes that will be requested.
