Role Overview: Could you be our next Network Security Analyst? Globe Life is looking for an Network Security Analyst to join the team! This role is responsible for supporting network security architecture by collaborating with product and project teams to capture communications requirements, implement network connectivity controls, and configure firewall rules, security groups, and web application firewall rulesets. Working under the Security Architect, the analyst produces technical documentation, advises on security best practices, and manages delivery timelines across IT teams. This is a remote/work from home position. What You Will Do: - Attend project/product planning meetings to understand communication requirements, advise on policy and best practice, and provide status updates on deliverables. - Follow Change Control processes to implement Firewall and ADC changes (including occasional after-hours changes). - Evaluates network security reports and studies to assist in the identification and resolution of potential security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. - Facilitate the efforts of other IT delivery teams, particularly Identity/Access Management/Provisioning, DNS, and networking teams, as pertains to network connectivity requirements. - Adheres to current security engineering practices, best practices, and enterprise architecture standards and patterns. - Assists in firewall rule cleanup efforts. - Conducts routine firewall policy reviews to ensure protection strategies are properly implemented. - Conduct research into network, server, storage, virtualization issues, standards, and products. What You Can Bring: - 4-year degree or equivalent work experience - 2+ years IT experience in a relevant discipline (security, networking, firewall, load balancing, cloud infrastructure) - Ability to effectively manage relationships with other design teams, application teams, stakeholders, business and customer representatives. - Proven analytical, strategic vision and strong problem-solving abilities. - Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. - Establish and maintain key relationships with strategic suppliers. - Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language appropriate to both executive and managerial audiences. - Strong business knowledge, with the ability to quickly convert business needs into technology solutions. - Proven ability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction within a high stress environment - Must be self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to success (a go-getter, able to roll with the punches) - Demonstrated ability to deal with change and work in a rapid pace, dynamic environment - Ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation and network diagrams tailored to the audience - Experience with ITIL processes and frameworks - Skill in identifying root causes of failed firewall change requests and driving process improvements - Ability to calibrate communication depth based on audience — from executive summaries to technical specifics - Proactive, tactful communicator who keeps teams and management informed during incidents and outages - Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously alongside standard support responsibilities - Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities, evolving responsibilities, and out-of-scope project demands - Availability to support Firewall Change Requests (FCRs) and willingness to work extended hours to meet business deadlines - Familiarity with security standards and frameworks including PCI, HIPAA, FFIEC, Sarbanes-Oxley, and ISO 27001 - Understanding of export control regulatory compliance requirements and Technology Control Plans - Firewall administration experience (Palo Alto preferred) - Application Delivery Controller / Load Balancer experience (F5 Big-IP preferred) - Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred) - Networking experience with route/switch or cloud-native services (Cisco and/or AWS preferred) - Working knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts including TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GLBP, L2/L3 VPN, multicast, and class of service - Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and DNS Applicable To All Employees of Globe Life Family of Companies: - Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift. - Ability to work full time and/or part time based on the position specifications.
