• The Systems Analyst III is responsible for understanding business objectives and operational challenges, identifying and evaluating alternative technical and process solutions, and conducting studies and cost/benefit analyses to recommend optimal courses of action. • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems with the goal of automating business processes or enhancing the performance, reliability, and usability of existing information systems. • Assess, analyze, and comprehensively document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care settings to support process improvement and system optimization. • Translate clinical and operational requirements into detailed technical specifications to facilitate effective data extraction, reporting, and analytics solutions. • Design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts within Cerner Millennium environments to ensure efficient and accurate data operations. • Perform complex data extraction, validation, and reconciliation activities utilizing Oracle schemas within Cerner Millennium environments. • Support organization-wide electronic health record (EHR) data migration, reporting, and legacy system decommissioning initiatives. • Develop, maintain, and support structured data feeds, flat file extracts, and end-to-end extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes for robust data integration. • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to CCL as well as challenges in downstream data integration and reporting. • Serve as a liaison between clinical informatics stakeholders and technical delivery teams to ensure the accurate implementation of clinical intent and requirements. • Communicate data limitations, technical constraints, and system dependencies clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences. • Execute and optimize CCL scripts, manage batch processing jobs, and provide support for both production and non-production environments in compliance with established policies and standards.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 11 years of experience and strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
  • Minimum of 11 years of demonstrated experience supporting large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations, migrations, or optimization initiatives.
  • Minimum of 11 years of proven ability to translate clinical requirements into technical and data specifications.
  • Minimum of 11 years of advanced, hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL).
  • Minimum of 11 years of working knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle databases.
  • Minimum of 11 years of experience with SQL, Linux, and enterprise data extraction or migration patterns.
  • Minimum of 11 years of experience designing and supporting Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.
  • Minimum of 11 years of familiarity with healthcare data integrations and reporting environments.
  • Minimum of 11 years of experience with RESTful web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) development.
  • Minimum of 11 years of knowledge in distributed systems, networking principles, and performance tuning.
