Role Description We are seeking a hands-on Python Developer (Data & Scripting Focus) to support a U.S.-based client in the nursing industry. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives on solving data challenges, enjoys writing Python scripts from scratch, and is highly skilled in data wrangling and API integrations. This is not a platform or product development role—your day-to-day work will focus on Python scripting, data manipulation, and building lightweight data pipelines to support business operations. - Write clean, efficient Python scripts to process, clean, and analyze datasets. - Perform daily data wrangling using Pandas and NumPy. - Extract, transform, and integrate data from APIs and external systems. - Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights. - Build and maintain lightweight data pipelines and analytical workflows. - Collaborate with team members to solve data challenges and improve processes. - Maintain clear, well-documented, and maintainable code. Qualifications - Strong Python development skills with the ability to write code from scratch. - 2+ years of professional experience with Pandas and NumPy. - Experience in data cleaning, transformation, and analysis. - Solid understanding of Python data structures and data operations. - Experience working with APIs and JSON data. - Experience with Scikit-Learn for basic machine learning tasks. - Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques (e.g., outlier detection, distribution analysis). - Experience working with large or messy datasets. - Exposure to Power BI or other reporting tools. - Experience with Microsoft Azure, XGBoost, or PyTorch. - Experience with Matplotlib or similar data visualization tools. Requirements - Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM SA Time, subject to daylight savings). - Required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays (SA public holidays compensated in accordance with the BCEA). - A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and wired Ethernet capability is mandatory. Role Description Reporting to the Processing Manager, this position will ensure the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated, preparing the application for submittal to underwriting taking the file from pre-approval to closing. The role is responsible for collecting, verifying and uploading loan information into the Loan Origination System (LOS).
