Role Description Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of multi-state payroll in partnership with Insperity, the organization's Professional Employer Organization (PEO). The role functions as the internal payroll subject matter expert and is accountable for payroll accuracy, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal teams and Insperity. The position requires consistent application of payroll and wage and hour regulations, strong attention to detail, and the use of sound judgment to identify, research, and resolve payroll issues. The role supports payroll operations in accordance with established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and effective collaboration with stakeholders. Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required; Associates' or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred - 3+ years' experience in payroll, including multi-state payroll processing - Prior experience working with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), preferably Insperity or a similar provider - Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and compliance requirements - Experience processing complex payrolls, including bonuses, commissions, off-cycle payrolls, and adjustments - Proven ability to perform effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment - Solid skills and experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Requirements - Process accurate, timely, and compliant multi-state payroll in partnership with Insperity, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations - Serve as the primary internal payroll subject matter expert and main point of contact for Insperity, resolving payroll inquiries, discrepancies, and escalations - Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data including hours worked, earnings, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and off-cycle payrolls - Ensure proper payroll tax reporting, filings, and compliance in coordination with Insperity, including multi-state and local jurisdiction requirements - Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness by reviewing payroll reports, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions as needed - Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data, job changes, terminations, benefits deductions, and compensation updates - Manage payroll-related compliance activities, including wage garnishments, audits, and regulatory inquiries - Develop and maintain payroll documentation, procedures, and process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance - Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism, discretion, and a high level of customer service - Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information at all times - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Benefits - Compensation: $33.65-$38.46, hourly Non-exempt - Paid Time Off (PTO) - Floating Holiday - Paid Parental Leave - Medical - Dental - Vision - Life & Disability - FSA/HSA - Fidelity 401(k) with employer match Location Remote
Role Description Reporting to the Processing Manager, this position will ensure the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated, preparing the application for submittal to underwriting taking the file from pre-approval to closing. The role is responsible for collecting, verifying and uploading loan information into the Loan Origination System (LOS). The position will prepare loan files for review and analyze loan documentation for accuracy and completeness. The role partners with loan officers, underwriters, cross-functional teams and departments to address conditions, resolve discrepancies to meet critical timelines. This position ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and investor guidelines to support the successful funding and closing of loans. - Review and verify loan application details for accuracy and completeness ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements - Collect, organize and analyze supporting documentation including income, asset liability and credit information - Prepare and submit complete loan files to the underwriting team ensuring all necessary conditions and documentation are provided - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address and obtain additional information required by underwriting - Partner with loan officers and underwriters to address inquiries, resolve conditions and discrepancies during the loan review process - Monitor the status of loans to ensure processing and closing timelines are met - Provide status reports on each mortgage indicating process to the loan officers - Establish and maintain accurate records updating files and databases for internal reporting - Send and initiate follow up requests on verifications to employers, banks, and creditors - Maintain accurate and organized records of loan files in accordance with company and regulatory standards - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications - High School diploma or GED preferred - 2+ years' experience in loan processing in the mortgage industry - 1+ years' experience in customer service - Proven experience processing business purpose loans preferred - Strong understanding of GFE, TIL and RESPA rules - Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment preferred - Solid skills and experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Skills and Abilities - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills - Strong analytical skills - Solid decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgment - Strong time management skills - Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and manage shifting priorities - Client focused with strong execution skills and results orientation - High-level of precision with attention to detail and consistency - Flexible, open to change, ability to learn new things quickly - Ability to work in a collaborative environment and provide guidance for working groups Compensation and Benefits Hiring Range: $22.00–$28.00 per hour Compensation within this range may vary based on each candidate's job-related expertise, skills, and experience.
