Project Finance Manager – Execution
Terraformation
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders as you lead the execution of project financing transactions from term sheet through closing, including due diligence, and document negotiation. • Manage cross-functional collaboration with project developers, ecology and carbon teams, legal, tax, and other technical consultants to ensure transactions progress smoothly. • Review and negotiate project finance transaction documents and project contracts to effectively assign risk and align stakeholders. • Interact with and interpret the financial model to quantify project risks, and support contract negotiation positions. • Coordinate closing processes, manage deadlines, and adapt to evolving deal parameters with high accuracy and attention to detail. • Build strong working relationships with counterparties, project partners, and potential investors. • Collaborate with team members across time zones, including some irregular hours aligned with deal needs.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of project finance experience, such as natural resources, power, renewable energy, forestry, or carbon.
- Execution experience of project finance transactions with limited supervision, including investor-facing responsibilities.
- Capable of building and/or interacting with financial models for analyzing and quantifying risk.
- Contract negotiation skills, including risk allocation across key project documents.
- High attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and ability to thrive under deadline pressure during closings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and ability to work across time zones and tight deal deadlines.
- Team player with a can-do attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, financial, or technical discipline.
- Experience working at a project developer or project capital provider.
- Experience working on projects in Africa and/or Asia.
