This is a hands-on position for someone who cares deeply about product quality, user experience, and reliability in a regulated fintech environment. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to define, execute, and improve test practices across web and mobile platforms. Mission - Ensure product releases meet high standards of quality, security, and compliance without slowing delivery cadence. - Act as the team's advocate for end-user experience and risk mitigation through rigorous manual testing and clear reporting. What you'll actually do - Test Strategy & Planning: Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and checklists for web and mobile features, prioritising risk-based coverage and regulatory requirements. - Manual Testing Execution: Execute exploratory, functional, regression, and acceptance testing across different environments and devices. Reproduce, triage, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product Managers, Developers, and Support to define acceptance criteria, participate in grooming sessions, and provide early quality feedback during discovery. - Release & Verification: Validate releases in staging and production (when required), perform smoke tests, and sign off on readiness for deployment according to release gates. - Documentation & Reporting: Maintain test documentation, produce actionable bug reports, and communicate quality metrics and release risk to stakeholders. - Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving QA processes, introduce practical checklists and heuristics, and collaborate with engineers to increase testability and automation coverage over time. What you bring - Practical Experience: 5+ years in manual QA within mobile product teams, preferably in fintech or other regulated domains. - Testing Skills: Strong hands-on experience with exploratory, functional, regression and acceptance testing. Comfortable creating and executing clear, reproducible test cases. - Technical Understanding: Familiarity with APIs, basic backend concepts, and CI/CD practices enough to validate integrations and communicate effectively with engineers. - Tooling: Experience with bug-tracking and test-management tools (e.g., Jira). Basic knowledge of mobile device testing and browser devtools is required. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal English.
