Role Description The Senior SAP EWM Consultant designs, configures, and optimizes SAP Extended Warehouse Management solutions for C5MI clients. This role leads requirement-gathering efforts, delivers high-quality functional designs, and ensures successful implementation across complex logistics environments. The Senior Consultant also mentors associate and mid-level team members, contributes to best-practice development, and serves as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Essential Functions & Responsibilities - Leads requirement-gathering sessions with clients and translates business needs into SAP EWM functional designs. - Configures and customizes SAP EWM capabilities including transportation planning, freight order management, carrier selection, and optimization. - Develops test scenarios, performs functional testing, and resolves defects to ensure high-quality EWM solutions. - Creates user guides, configuration documentation, and training materials; delivers end-user and client training. - Collaborates with project managers, architects, developers, and functional teams to ensure seamless integration with ECC, S/4HANA, EWM, and related modules. - Troubleshoots complex SAP EWM issues related to configuration, data, and system behavior; supports integration, data migration, and interface development. - Provides mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to associate and mid-level consultants. - Applies SAP best practices, methodologies, and industry standards; stays current on TM enhancements and emerging capabilities. - Identifies opportunities for process improvement and optimization within transportation and logistics operations. - Travels up to 50% to support workshops, testing, implementation, and go-live activities. - Adheres to all certified processes and information security standards. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field; or equivalent experience. - 7+ years of SAP EWM experience, including at least one full lifecycle implementation. - Hands-on experience configuring SAP EWM functions such as planning, freight execution, carrier selection, and optimization. - Experience conducting functional testing and supporting QA activities. - SAP S/4HANA or EWM certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months). - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across diverse teams. - Ability to travel up to 50%. Compensation In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $120,000 – $155,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
