• Reduce the time it takes to provision infrastructure • Create runbooks, scripts, and unit tests to reduce manual labor on repetitive tasks • Work with the other IT teams to resolve how we can improve their existing workflows with the use of automation • Work across the organization to advise and influence improved cloud adoption and governance • Maintain, improve, and support the tools and platforms that are managed by the team • Author and maintain puppet roles and profiles to automate the configuration of our Windows and Linux servers • Influence reliable, efficient, scalable enterprise grade solutions across the organization • Share your knowledge and expertise with peers by documenting your work and leading and organizing brown bag sessions • Implement standard methodologies for systems automation and platform operations • Ensure the availability and security of the tools and platforms supported by the team

• Configure, implement, and automate CI/CD pipelines for software delivery, including test automation frameworks • Continuously improve speed, efficiency, scalability, and stability of integration systems and environments • Capture demand and trends from development teams into IT processes

• Design, implement, and operate production GCP infrastructure with high availability, scalability, and resilience • Ensure high reliability and performance of services, proactively resolving issues before customer impact • Participate in on-call rotations and drive post-incident reviews and blameless post-mortems • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure cross-cloud consistency in areas such as IAM philosophy, tagging, observability standards, Terraform patterns, and security controls. • Design and maintain IAM strategies (least privilege, service accounts, role design, separation of duties) • Implement and operationalize security controls such as organization policies, audit logging, and key management • Partner with security teams to meet compliance requirements and improve cloud security posture • Architect GCP networking patterns including VPCs, shared VPCs, firewall policies, routing, load balancing, and private service access • Drive secure connectivity patterns between services and environments (prod/non-prod), including hybrid connectivity where applicable • Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across cloud services • Lead automation initiatives for provisioning and operational tasks using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines • Build and maintain tooling and standards for observability (metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting) • Continuously improve developer experience through reusable modules, templates, and documentation • Support and optimize cloud data services such as BigQuery and BigTable, including security, access patterns, and performance considerations • Collaborate with engineering and analytics stakeholders on scalable data workflows and governance

• Own and influence the incident management process end-to-end • Maintain and evolve on-prem observability stack • Keep production applications running smoothly by participating in the on-call rotation • Develop automations and tools to support platform reliability • Contribute to production services with performance and resiliency in mind • Collaborate with product engineers to foster SRE principles within the R&D organization • Be a mentor for the SRE team or product engineers
