Head of Product – Payments Growth

• Define and communicate a compelling vision for Payments Growth at dLocal, turning emerging payment trends into scalable products for global merchants. • Build and own the multi-year strategy for key payment methods (BNPL, Virtual Accounts, Physical Payments, and others), ensuring they become best-in-class solutions in emerging markets. • Identify new payment opportunities and lead the creation of innovative products that expand dLocal’s market leadership. • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers focused on individual payment methods and growth areas. • Define clear goals, KPIs, and success metrics for each payment product, ensuring strong performance across availability, conversion, cost efficiency, and revenue. • Drive the entire product lifecycle—from ideation to launch, scaling, iteration, and continuous optimization. • Work closely with engineering, compliance, commercial, and operations to deliver reliable, scalable, and frictionless payment solutions. • Build strong partnerships with external stakeholders, including customers, banks, BNPL providers, processors, and alternative payment method partners.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 4+ years in payments, financial services, or fintech—ideally owning specific payment method products (BNPL, card acquiring, APMs, wallets, cash-based payments, or bank transfer rails).
- Proven track record of building and scaling payment products in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong leadership experience, including leading product managers and cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and the ability to translate long-term vision into actionable roadmaps.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication; Spanish is a plus.
