Junior Bookkeeper

• Responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, financial administration, client invoicing, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable • Maintain accurate financial records, including client invoicing, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable • Prepare monthly prepayment journals, accruals, and other journals as required • Perform daily bank reconciliations • Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant requirements • Maintain internal systems in line with company policies and procedures • Support office operations and general administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day running • Respond to accounting and finance-related queries • Participate in planning activities and contribute to policy and procedure development within the role scope • Work closely with team members to support continuous improvement and business objectives • Manage daily workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain productivity
Job Requirements
- A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field
- A good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Willingness to learn and work with new technologies and accounting platforms (e.g. Xero)
- Close attention to detail and strong data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- A proactive, organised, and responsible working attitude

• Own the end-to-end customer invoicing and collections process, including invoice issuance, payment tracking, and follow-ups with customers • Serve as the primary customer-facing finance contact for billing, payment status, and invoice-related inquiries • Maintain accurate AR records, cash application, and customer account reconciliations • Ensure billing aligns with contracts and internal approvals, escalating discrepancies as needed • Support month-end close activities related to AR, revenue, and cash • Maintain organized documentation and audit-ready support for all customer billing and collections activity
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and BAS preparation • Process payroll accurately and in compliance with relevant Australian regulations • Prepare and lodge NDIS invoices, ensuring alignment with funding rules and service bookings • Utilize client management and rostering tools like ShiftCare to ensure accurate shift data is captured for payroll and billing • Maintain accurate financial records and generate regular financial reports for management • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, email management, document preparation, and maintaining client records • Support compliance with NDIS reporting, audits, and service delivery documentation requirements • Assist with onboarding new clients or team members and maintaining organizational systems
