Job Requirements
- Experience in sales development, lead generation, or inside sales
- Prior experience working remotely
- Fluency in remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar
- Experience working with US or UK-based companies
- Strong objection-handling and consultative selling skills
- High level of self-motivation and time management

• Build the Pipeline: Identify, target, and engage potential customers in the data and engineering space, through cold calling, emails, social outreach, and other methods (carrier pigeons?) to prospective customers • Secure Qualified Meetings: Schedule qualified meetings for Account executives, and potentially play a role in helping close accounts as you grow • Collaborate with Product: Partner with the product team to relay customer feedback, identify feature requests, and shape Matia’s roadmap • Develop & Iterate on Messaging: Work closely with leadership & Marketing to refine our messaging and positioning in the market; help test new messaging in market • Evangelize the Platform: Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, educating them on the value of Matia’s platform and how it solves their challenges • Research, Track & Log: Track and log activities and commitments in HubSpot and other sales tools; Not the most glamorous part of the role, but necessary • Be a Builder: Create and iterate on top of funnel processes as we grow

Responsibilities: - Identify and develop new industries, application, and growth opportunities in rubber and composites. - Lead new product commercialization by defining use cases, presenting technologies, and aligning with sales/marketing. - Oversee trade shows and industry events, ensuring strong technical representation and accurate marketing content. - Collaborate cross functionally to ensure consistent technical messaging and support across all markets. - Support product line simplification initiatives and clearly communicate strategy changes to distribution and sales. - Build and maintain key industry, supplier, and distributor relationships to advance development initiatives. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical disciplines will be considered. - 5+ years of experience in rubber, composites, polymers, or related materials industries. - Strong distributor experience, either working for a distributor or in a role that extensively supports and partners with distribution. - Experience working with application engineering, sales teams, and channel partners. - Strong ability to translate technical information into clear, actionable market and application guidance. - Proven experience supporting new product introductions and market development. - Strong communication, presentation, and training skills - Willingness to travel extensively (up to and occasionally exceeding 50%) across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
