Job Description

LIMS Administrator, Crystal Reports Writer

Knowesis Inc.

• Perform application administration functions within StarLIMS and related systems. • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. • Provide helpdesk-style support to laboratory staff, resolving user and system issues. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using SQL, logs, and system tools. • Write Crystal Reports, SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to extract and transform data from SQL Server. • Validate Crystal Reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity. • Monitor report performance and implement corrective actions to optimize speed and reliability. • Develop and maintain a variety of Crystal Report formats, including: Tabular Drill‑down Matrix Charts. • Support both standard recurring reports and ad hoc data requests. • Develop and prepare technical public health reports, charts, tables, and presentations. • Produce business process documentation, data flow diagrams, and system usage guides. • Communicate findings and technical information clearly through written and oral reports. • Collaborate with laboratory, epidemiology, and informatics teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Information Management, or a closely related field is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Crystal Reports development experience, preferably supporting a laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with relational databases and SQL Server.
  • At least 3 years of StarLIMS experience (Public Health experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience providing technical support or helpdesk services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
