Instrumentation and Control Engineer
Assystem
• Assist the client in carrying out technical studies in the field of control and instrumentation • Review and monitor study documentation produced by contractors • Write technical documents such as technical requirements specifications, design definition notes, justification notes, functional analyses, system breakdown analyses, cost estimates and project schedules • Participate in technical project meetings • Draft minutes of technical meetings
Job Requirements
- Education level equivalent to Bac +2 to Bac +5 (e.g., Bachelor's to Master's level)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in control systems / I&C
- Experience in the nuclear sector is a plus
- Familiarity with standards and regulations related to control systems is a plus

You will ensure our platform becomes the standard infrastructure for compute, whether terrestrial or orbital. • Technical Strategy: Partner with Company Leadership to define the 3–5 year technical roadmap, identifying emerging technologies in high-density GPU orchestration and orbital data processing that align with our long-term business goals. • Hard-Problem Solver: Act as the final point of escalation for complex architectural challenges involving real-time data streaming, computer vision, and network-aware workload distribution. • Innovation & R&D: Lead Proof-of-Concepts for next-generation capabilities, such as in-orbit inference, adaptive learning at the edge, and secure Earth-to-space data orchestration. • Mentorship: Elevate the entire engineering organization by mentoring Staff and Principal engineers, fostering a culture of high-performance engineering and architectural rigor.
• Develop complex electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects. • Prepare and review electrical design drawings, including one-line and three-line diagrams, panel elevations, AC/DC schematics, AC/DC cable schedules, wiring diagrams, and related documentation. • Perform power system modeling and relay coordination studies using ASPEN and/or ETAP. • Prepare protection and control design basis documentation, perform relay setting calculations, and generate configuration files using SEL AcSELerator, GE EnerVista, or equivalent vendor tools. • Develop SCADA system and communication interface settings for substation equipment. • Support field and commissioning teams with engineering assistance during construction and energization. • Optimize protection scheme templates and tools for improved efficiency and standardization. • Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment. • Participate in quality reviews to confirm compliance with Revamp standards and client requirements. • Travel up to 10% to client sites, fabrication yards, or field locations for coordination, site verification, or commissioning support as required.
• Lead the thermal design efforts for a complete spacecraft mission lifecycle • Design and define requirements for spacecraft thermal management subsystems working closely with other subsystem leads • Build and execute simulations to understand on-orbit thermal performance • Implement thermal components into Muon’s integrated systems modeling tools • Design the thermal verification and validation approach for the spacecraft • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to validate hardware systems at both the unit level and spacecraft level
